I am having a stupidly irritating afternoon. I just burned my hands on molten cheese, and I just opened my DVDs from netflix, only to discover that when I put Mad Men on my queue I moved season two up to the top instead of season one, so I got the first disc of the second season today.

However. Stupid irritations are fairly minor when it comes down to it. *moves on*

I've narrowed down the possible fonts for my fandom/affirmation tattoo down to my favorite three, and now I seek the learned opinion of you fine people. Which one do you like best? Or should I keep looking?

I don't love the horror genre, really. But I do love Jim Beaver and I really wanted to see Katie Cassidy do something other than play Ruby in a weirdly truncated season of SPN.

I watched the first several episodes and then I went away for a month. Only one episode taped while I was gone. I managed to get some, hopefully all, of the episodes I missed, and watched a couple of them. I got spoiled for who died in an episode I didn't watch. Now I am not sure where I am, but think I have at least one more ep I need to watch on my computer before I can get to the ones on my DVR.

I generally liked what I have seen so far, but I wouldn't say LOVED. I've seen some posts indicating not much love for the final episode, though thankfully have NOT been spoiled.

I've seen a few warnings lately about so-and-so topping or bottoming and read a few comments about how someone won't read a fic if one or the other character is the top or the bottom, and it's made me curious.

So the idea is you pick your favourite three (or a random selection of three) OTPs (and yes, I understand that the O stands for one *g*), and use them for the poll. If you only have one or two, just answer one or two sections.

I encourage conversation in comments, because I'm sure the questions don't cover all people might have to say on the subject.

Ok! You have all been very good with giving me things to put in the next part of my fanfic poll series. YOU MAY STILL ADD THINGS

I'm only allowed to ask you 15 questions at a time, and so I'm trying to divide it into sensible parts. First up is frequently seen phrases. The three main fandoms I seem to have fans of on my f'list are House, Supernatural and Stargate Atlantis. If more of you go and vote about fandom specific things, I will probably have enough to do a poll for each of those three fandoms. For the smaller fandoms and things that cross fandoms, I will also be having a more general section. and yes, I'm kinda wondering why I ever started this, why do you ask?

We all know that there are exceptions to every rule, and that if you see something in one fic your reaction isn't going to be the same as it might be in another fic. Any clarifying you want to do in comments will give me a happy. But...

let's assume that the fic we're talking about when answering the below questions is one that you like well enough but don't absolutely love, and that the author is someone you have no personal feelings about whatsoever.

For the next part of the poll, I want to know people's opinions of some of the fanon 'staples' you see in fic. We all have them. It can be things that instantly make you hot, or squee or awww, or things that make you want to cover your eyes and shut the tab. Or just things you keep seeing but don't really have an opinion on one way or another.

But before I can ask how you feel about them, I need to know what they are. I only know mine, you see. *g*

So. Any fandom, things specific to a fandom like Wilson crossing his arms or Dean calling Sam 'Sammy,' or things that cross fandoms, like 'scissoring fingers.'
