I have my tattoo touch-up appointment in a couple of weeks, and one of the things I'm considering is getting some blue added to the nib end of my pen. My artist suggested that I print out a colour copy of my tatt and colour it with coloured pencils to see how I liked the depth of colour there, but I have neither a colour printer nor coloured pencils, and I have a million deep blue eye makeup options, so I just coloured on the tattoo itself and took pictures of that. It seemed much more expedient. I'll probably colour it again a few times between now and then to see what I think of it in different lights and stuff, but I wanted to do a straw poll too, and see what other people thought. So here we are.

I like the blue, it gives it a bit more depth. makes it pop

I like the blue-great contrast to the bird of paradise.

I love what the blue adds to it. It makes it look more in proportion to me and since blue is the complimentary color of orange it fits very well!

I like the blue a lot. I feel like it serves the function that the ink drops would have served if you'd put those in - like it creates motion? Idk, I'm tired. But your tattoo is cool and I am excited for us to get touched-up together! (Though not for a little while, because OW.)

Yes! i think besides the nice colour contrasts it gives the sense of words about to be written!

The blue looks great! Like inkstains. It seems to give it a bit more, I dunno, movement, somehow?

maybe a somewhat less intense slightly more greenish blue
ETA: on second thought, slightly less intense and somewhat more greenish

makeup on the actual tattoo makes way more sense than coloring on a photo of it

I second this: I love the blue, but I want it to blend with what's there just a bit more. But what do I know? Just that the tattoo as a whole is glorious.

What clever trick with the make-up! I like the addition of blue, it makes the rest of the colors pop even more.

The blue looks great, amazing job with the makeup, it looks like you've really added colour to the tattoo, it doesn't look drawn on. But I should stop looking at tattoo pics because it makes me want to have more done lol
