When I went down to Santa Cruz a couple of weeks ago, we went to Steamer Lane to watch the surfers, and there was a white rainbow in the mist. We'd never seen such a thing before. My friend took some pictures with her new iPhone 4, which has a fabulous camera.

I've been extra adventurous with my fingernails on this trip, and photobucket is actually working for me right now (what horribleness has happened to it, btw. is it not working for other people or is it just me?), so you get some pictures. I'm sure you're thrilled.

I had an amazing time in Joshua Tree yesterday, though the desert is exhausting! I slept for 11 hours last night. It could be that LA is exhausting too, though :D

I'm falling farther and farther behind with all things LJ, though I am managing to read more than I'm managing to comment on. I hope that you will all forgive me! I miss coiledsoul and glendaglamazon already, but am looking forward to seeing loveflyfree this evening. And tomorrow that giant hole in the ground! :D

I'm feeling a lot more sanguine (and now I have "It means hopeful. And also, bloody." in my head) about living out of my car than I'd expected, though it's only been a week, so we'll see how that goes. I spent last night in a motel room that would make the set designers on SPN weep. Nothing of any interest at all, unless you count the mildew in the shower as decoration. But it was only $40 for the night, and the A/C worked, so I'm not complaining. ( pictures here )

Then there's the news that Adam and Johnny Weir will both be at the GLAAD Awards on the 17th. Which is awesome news, as far as I'm concerned. Possibly not quite as awesome as this Johnny/Adam fanvid set to Beauty and the Beast, though. ( torn between LOL and <3___<3 )

Thanks to splifford for reminding me, I was browsing around Provocateuse this morning and came upon Jensen's hands page. It's been long enough since I was hanging out there regularly that it was pre-Jensen obsession interest. I'd seen most of the pictures many times, but there was one that was utterly new to me. Am I the only one who hasn't seen this?

eta: that will teach me to throw things up in a rush before going out. It's a manip (by covered_in_silk), but it's still pretty. :D

Speaking of Jensen, Jim Beaver talks about Jared and Jensen and the way they're so great to work with, at Fangasm. It is one of those articles that makes me glee about my show and the people who work on it.

Speaking of Jared, he has his own page of hand pictures at Provocateuse. I know there is at least one person on my flist who has a fondness for Jared's hands. ;)

I'm feeling all fannish today. But mom wants me to be feeling like running errands with her. So I'd better stop ogling pictures of the boys and reading articles and get a move on.
