I stumbled, or caved, or some other word that means went ahead and did it, and I now have a tumblr. I'm not totally sure yet what I'm doing with it: so far there is a picture of Jensen, a picture of Adam Lambert, a picture of Frank Iero fondling Gerard Way's balls, a quote about writing, and the fact that Johnny Weir wishes he lived inside a Faberge egg.

In other news, I haven't gotten any further on my thesis, but I have written 1700 words on a new Jensen/Adam chapter. Because life is too short to skip the porn avoid stressing myself out, apparently. I'm trying not to do that icon meme going around, because that is more procrastination than I need this morning. be shocked if you don't see it by tonight, that means

1. I am writing Jensen/Adam Lambert fic. It's so not my fault. IDEK.

2. I have a ticket to Wondercon on Saturday. Also not my fault. (coiledsoul and glendaglamazon are awesome like pie.) Markedly less shameful than 1. however. :D

3. I wrote from 8:30 this morning until 1:30 this afternoon, only pausing to mix up some waffle batter. Five hours of delighted, happy-making, insane pairing writing. I feel like meeee!

4. I'm making some lunch, and then I'm going to write some more. There are no words for how much I've been missing this feeling. *hugs notebook to chest*

5. There was a piece of cat food in the shower door track this morning. The cat food lives all the way on the other side of the house. WTAF.

I hope that if unexpected things are happening to you, they are of the awesome. ♥

Today I have found much to delight me on the internetz, and so I thought I should share some of it.

1. dauntdraws drew me more Sam and Dean ponies!!! I am very excited about this for many reasons. Not least because they are for MEEEEEEEEEEE and that is always fun :D But also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE SPN Ponies. Love them. And these ones make me do that thing where you grin so hard your shoulders go up around your ears and your head tilts and your neck and nose scrunch up and you look ridiculous, but you don't care because you are happy and something is SOCUTEOMG.

2. ash48 and maichan808 finished their amazing new vid and it really is AMAZING. We have some RIDICULOUSLY talented people in the SPN fandom.

3. The teamcockbert community. IDEK. It's hilarious, and kind of jaw-dropping in that way that Adam Lambert manages so effortlessly. Mostly this post has been getting my attention. It's just a massive huge post that lists a whole bunch of guys one might pair Adam with, with a picture and then information about his occupation and whether or not he's actually met Adam in the flesh as it were. I just spent the last hour looking through it. In the George Clooney entry there is a link to fic, and that is awesome, too. Also awesome, this post which has pictures of men in kilts and some kilt sex fic. om nom nom. I'm going to guess that pretty much everyone on my flist who might care that this comm exists already knows that this comm exists, but just in case...

4. Sugar bunnies! Thank you, my lovelies! ♥♥

I can't stop thinking about Robert Downey Jr. lately, and the last couple days that has meant remembering the first time I saw Less than Zero. I remember being fifteen and filled with conviction that I was all grown up. I remember that one of the boys I went to school with was self-destructive (in a much more fifteen-year-old way than RDJ's character) and kind of looked like a young RDJ and I couldn't stop thinking that someday the same could happen to him. I remember that I cried so much that my friends threatened to leave me at the theater when whoever's mom was driving came to pick us up. It was one of those movies I couldn't get out of my head for years. It all seemed so TOTALLY profound.

Then, of course, RDJ himself kind of went down that same route. And I went right back to that place, and was all emo about it in that way that one (or maybe just me?) can get, when the origin of the feelings happened when you were fifteen.

Then, a few years ago now (and by few, I could actually mean something like six or seven) I watched the movie again. And spent a lot of the movie wondering how the hell I'd ever had such a crush on Jami Gertz. (though, to be fair, that crush arose from Lost Boys, not Less than Zero) And some more time wondering how I found the movie profound. But I was still incredibly impressed with RDJ's performance.

Point being, I kind of want to watch the movie again again. Even though I didn't think it held up all that well the second time I watched it. Sadly, I can't watch instantly on Netflix. Maybe I should rent Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang again instead.

Or maybe I should just go back to staring at ( this picture )

I have done some reorganizing of the Supernatural section of my Fan Fiction Sticky Post this morning. I'm hoping that I've made stuff easier to find, rather than more difficult. If nothing else, it gave me a break from changing tense in a chunk of text that I keep going back and forth on whether it should be a flashback or in real time. Why can't there be a magic button to press that does that job for you?

I hope that work isn't too bad for those of you on the other side of the international date line, and that those for whom it's still Sunday, the wind-down of the weekend is treating you well. ♥

I am having a stupidly irritating afternoon. I just burned my hands on molten cheese, and I just opened my DVDs from netflix, only to discover that when I put Mad Men on my queue I moved season two up to the top instead of season one, so I got the first disc of the second season today.

However. Stupid irritations are fairly minor when it comes down to it. *moves on*

I've narrowed down the possible fonts for my fandom/affirmation tattoo down to my favorite three, and now I seek the learned opinion of you fine people. Which one do you like best? Or should I keep looking?

♥ Two hours until my final starts. I cannot wait for it to be over.

♥ I watched the American Idol final last night despite having never watched the show before. This morning I've been watching Adam Lambert perform on the website. And there is something about him that really really makes me want to pair him with Michael Rosenbaum. Anyone feel like writing that for me? *smiles winningly*

♥ Inigo is cracking me up. He's most unhappy about the fire alarm going off outside and keeps running around like a crazy thing.

♥ SYTYCD is back tonight! CAAAAT!!! (yes. again)

♥ I want to hear something that is making you happy today or this week or coming up this weekend. Whatever. Something HAPPY :D :D

• I have no MCR music. People on my flist keep talking about them. I feel like I should remedy this lack somehow.
  
• I can only manage to keep at my review sheets for 10 or so minutes at a time before I need to get up and do something else for a few minutes. This leads me to wonder how the hell I am going to make it through a three and a half hour final.
  
• I really, really love Regina Spektor more and more the more I hear her.
  
• I have done at least 30 minutes of Wii-fit every day since I got it except the two days I wasn't here. I am proud of this fact, and pleased that I didn't waste my money on the thing.
  
• I have been missing S1-2 SPN canon so much lately. I can't decide if the follow-up sentence I only want to write pre-series fic should start with "Because of this," or "And yet,"
  
• I have a fandom secret, but I avoid the fandom secrets page and have no idea how to post one, so I will just keep it to myself.
  
• It's nothing bad, and certainly nothing bad about any fangirls. So no paranoia, please.
  
• Not secret at all, THIS PSA about what to do if someone is having a seizure is adorable and hilarious. Quinto/Pine, Kirk/Spock, whatever. Adorable.
  
• I have SO MANY fandom things to be writing, which is a rarity in my life. Generally I start something and then finish it and then move on. But now I have a queue, and many items on the queue have paragraphs or even pages written. Sadly, they refuse to prioritize themselves in order of time-sensitivity.
  
• I got hugely spoiled for Brothers and Sisters on after elton's hot 100 today. This is the trouble with being a few series behind on a show. I had my usual spoiled sick feeling but then I got over it. It's Brothers and Sisters. I enjoy it, but spoilers are not going to ruin it for me. Why am I not surprised the after elton boys are big SPN fans?
  
• I haven't read any long fic in ages. I miss it.
  
• Watched The Secret Life of Bees last night. I liked the book better, not surprisingly, but I really enjoyed the movie too. And Dakota Fanning wasn't creepy, which was almost creepy in itself.
  
• Now I think it's time to stop. Park, writing (without sunburn this time hopefully), and then back to review sheets. Oh, and lunch in there somewhere.
