  • I have no MCR music. People on my flist keep talking about them. I feel like I should remedy this lack somehow.
  • I can only manage to keep at my review sheets for 10 or so minutes at a time before I need to get up and do something else for a few minutes. This leads me to wonder how the hell I am going to make it through a three and a half hour final.
  • I really, really love Regina Spektor more and more the more I hear her.
  • I have done at least 30 minutes of Wii-fit every day since I got it except the two days I wasn't here. I am proud of this fact, and pleased that I didn't waste my money on the thing.
  • I have been missing S1-2 SPN canon so much lately. I can't decide if the follow-up sentence I only want to write pre-series fic should start with "Because of this," or "And yet,"
  • I have a fandom secret, but I avoid the fandom secrets page and have no idea how to post one, so I will just keep it to myself.
  • It's nothing bad, and certainly nothing bad about any fangirls. So no paranoia, please.
  • Not secret at all, THIS PSA about what to do if someone is having a seizure is adorable and hilarious. Quinto/Pine, Kirk/Spock, whatever. Adorable.
  • I have SO MANY fandom things to be writing, which is a rarity in my life. Generally I start something and then finish it and then move on. But now I have a queue, and many items on the queue have paragraphs or even pages written. Sadly, they refuse to prioritize themselves in order of time-sensitivity.
  • I got hugely spoiled for Brothers and Sisters on after elton's hot 100 today. This is the trouble with being a few series behind on a show. I had my usual spoiled sick feeling but then I got over it. It's Brothers and Sisters. I enjoy it, but spoilers are not going to ruin it for me. Why am I not surprised the after elton boys are big SPN fans?
  • I haven't read any long fic in ages. I miss it.
  • Watched The Secret Life of Bees last night. I liked the book better, not surprisingly, but I really enjoyed the movie too. And Dakota Fanning wasn't creepy, which was almost creepy in itself.
  • Now I think it's time to stop. Park, writing (without sunburn this time hopefully), and then back to review sheets. Oh, and lunch in there somewhere.

Happy Monday, my lovelies. ♥♥♥♥♥

Sad to say, I adore Fandom secrets... I find a few kindred souls in there, y'know?

Also, is it sad of our fandom that you need to defend your unnamed secret against the wank of fangirls?
*le sigh*

Enjoy your Monday doll
*hugs*

Fandom Secrets is like a music festival to me. Cool stuff to be found, but way way way too many people and too many things going on for me to brave it.

also, it engenders wank. which I avoid at all costs ;)

On a side note, I looked up SMISH on urban dictionary, and one of the definitions was kinda gross, lol.

Bullety 9: your brain, my brain, hello.

If we decided to meet in the middle for tea and long convo, I could be there in 20 hours. :P

20 hours. let's do it. We'd meet somewhere Winchester-approved if we did it that way :)

Hello brain, hello.

Want me to hook you up with some MCR?

I think my heart just like, grew three sizes. Do you have everything to hook her up with?

Yes! I have Revenge and TBP.

Thank you! So far I haven't loved House of Wolves, but do like the other ones between The End and Cancer.

It actually took me a bit to get in to them, so it may need to grow on you. I like TBP a lot better than Revenge, but even that had to grow on me a bit. Just give it time, maybe?

And no problem, seriously. ♥

Regina Spektor is the cognitive dissonance name in my list of top five ultimate favorite bands. She's shoved in among all the industrial metal and classic rock, and I wouldn't have it any other way. She's just...breathtaking, isn't she? Such amazing talent, such gorgeous words and voice and man, I love her way, way too much. ♥_♥

She seems to be singing on a whole lot of movie soundtracks lately too, which I approve of wholeheartedly.

I am too ADD to comment on all these.

Don't get another sunburn! They hurt!

They do. I have a stripe on my back where my shirt didn't quite meet my waistband that's about 1/2 an inch wide and 8 inches long. and the back of my calves. *facepalm*

Dakota Fanning fascinates me. She's got like an 80 year old's worth of understanding of life, all trapped in a little girl's body (except for her hands...she has old hands).

She fascinates me, too. She has such old eyes. Which is what I think is kind of creepy about her, though less so when she's 14 than when she's 6.

I just had a whole bunch of "uh-huh!", "eep!", "yup", kind of reactions to the bullets, but I am too lazy to attach them. Anyway, I send ♥ back your way. :)

I sometimes look at the box for 30 minutes when I'm watching tv (the box is in front of the tv stand thingy). ;D

that's a start! You do know I'm totally making you get it out while I'm there. Which I still don't have dates for. I'm not totally sure how long I am going to want to stay at D's house.

posted by [identity profile] silsbee329.livejournal.com at 11:26pm on 11/05/2009
I'm torn between wanting to do it BEFORE you get here, so you'll be proud of me (shut up! I crave praise!), or just waiting until you get here so you can do all the work of setting it up (did I just say that out loud?). hee.

And as long as it's before the weekend of June 25th, you can get here as soon as you like, and stay as long as you like. I just need a day's notice to do LAUNDRY and brush the cat's hair (what's left of it). :D

No. I still haven't found the camera charger. :(

posted by [identity profile] rivers-bend.livejournal.com at 11:29pm on 11/05/2009
have you set up the Wii? Or none of it?

I can certainly give you a day's notice. I'll have to give the car rental place at least that :D

The Wii is up and running (played the bowling thing once and almost destroyed the living room with the flailing). I just haven't opened the big honking Wii Fit box. Not even to peek. I fear that once I peek I'll want to do it, and I don't want to do exercise. *blinks* (Logic not being my strong suit.)

I still wonder if I can pick you up somehow. Unless you would prefer to drive. We still have time to work it out, I suppose. ;)

posted by [identity profile] rivers-bend.livejournal.com at 11:35pm on 11/05/2009
you could totally pick me up if you felt like driving to vermont. It doesn't seem like something you'd be dying to do, though :) My aim on this trip is flexibility :D

setting up the wii fit involves putting the batteries in the battery bit and then pressing a red button for a couple seconds. it's not hard. But it does lead to wanting to exercise. It's super fun.

posted by [identity profile] silsbee329.livejournal.com at 11:42pm on 11/05/2009
I think maybe I could maybe manage. And maybe I could get a co-pilot!! Elizabeth!!! I'm getting all excited. Anyway, we shall work it out. You shouldn't have to drive alone. That's too lonely. ;p

I don't know about this exercise stuff. I might try it. Maybe I'll do it tonight. Just for lols.

Oh that PSA is gorgeous! Yay them for making it - very important topic, and I'm glad that a lot of people will see it because of them.

Not sure if you have seen this cat macro (ignore the fact they are girl kitties.)

Yay for wii-fitness!

I read the afterelton list yesterday, and had to sort of avert my eyes for spoilers in things too. Loved the pic of Adam Lambert sans make-up! He is quite lovely.

Isn't it adorable? It made me glee.

I have seen that cat picture with different and not nearly as awesome words. Sam and Dean kitties!
