♥ Two hours until my final starts. I cannot wait for it to be over.

♥ I watched the American Idol final last night despite having never watched the show before. This morning I've been watching Adam Lambert perform on the website. And there is something about him that really really makes me want to pair him with Michael Rosenbaum. Anyone feel like writing that for me? *smiles winningly*

♥ Inigo is cracking me up. He's most unhappy about the fire alarm going off outside and keeps running around like a crazy thing.

If I don't stop LMAO over the

spn_meanttobe prompts I am gonna make my cats cry. *single tear* The worst part is I am pretty sure I've read at least one of those books.

When I was in Jr High I was shunned by all my friends, and would go home from school and get in the bath tub and read Harlequin romances for hours. At the time the library didn't record which paperback books you checked out, so they had no way of knowing if/when you returned them. at one point my mom made me clean up my room and I had 39 harlequins secreted about the place. I was too embarrassed to return them while the library was open and so I bribed my father to drive me down late at night so I could put them through the book drop. I had to do his ironing for a week.

all of which is to say, I bet I've read more than one of them. I didn't read most of the prompts. Skipped cowboys, because I don't know about horses and such, and then picked the first prompt I saw that I thought i could do :D

I, um, actually collect Harlequin Presents by Lynne Graham. *lol* I used her in my undergrad thesis and became addicted. My Harlequin love is one of the reasons I role my eyes when people think published is automatically better than fan fic. I can see you with 39 Harlequins! I would have done the same thing, I did something similar when I went on my kick for western historical bodice rippers when I was 14 or so.

I knew I wanted a prompt that was best friends or business partners becoming more and I found one that encompasses both. Vacation becomes mathlete camp or something, the prompt is just a prompt or I am screwed.

hahaha published is SO not automatically better. not by a long shot. :D

I also used to shave from wrist to shoulder and ankle to hip every single day once I'd finished my book. I was a very strange adolescent. ;)

I wanted a prompt that I could do Sam/Dean if I wasn't feeling brave enough to write J2. I'll have to see what strikes me.

My happy place:
I know the owner and manager of a small pet store (not the kind that sells animals, the kind that sells top-quality pet supplies). In fact, the manager is my pet-sitter and he is the person who my dog will go to if something happens to me. Well, the owner is a BIG Great Dane lover. I stopped by the other day to pick up food for my dog and discovered that she had (once again) rescued a Dane. She's a 15-month old Black Dane and she came with 6 puppies who are almost 6 weeks old. I have been wanting a Black Dane for about 15 years. So, I've been visiting daily while they are all in quarantine (being treated for various icky things) and I can feel myself falling in love with this girl. I may end up taking her home with me. My dog loves Danes too and so once she is out of quarantine, we'll do the meet 'n greet between the two of them and see how they get on.

I am going to go to Baltimore next week to see my sister for the first time in months and meet an internet friend and tool around town with alcohol legally purchased by my sister an illegally consumed by me. Two weeks away from my mother! GLEEEE.

Oh, side note: GLEE ALSO MAKES ME HAPPY. :DDDDDD

I have 4, count 'em, 4!, days off in a row starting tomorrow! w00t!! Planning to spend one entire day being a fangirl and doing SPN-related activities only. Should be pretty sweet. :) The rest of the days are pretty unplanned at this point, though I would love to work in a trip to the zoo or a museum. IDK. Still, extra paid time off work = happiness. :)

Totes! I'm planning to re-watch seasons 1-3 just in time for the release of season 4 and then dive right in to that. So I may watch some s1 eps throughout my day of SPN fun. So looking forward to having the s4 dvds so I can be thoroughly obsessive and re-watch all my fave bits from this season. ;) I think you just helped me make up my mind on the museum trip too. Yay!!! Gonna totally geek out and spend hours!! Another happy-maker! Okay. My week/weekend is totally going to ROCK! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! \0/\0/

The American Idol finale was fantastic!! Adam + KISS! (Loved the steampunk Kiss outfit he was wearing, and omg, handcuffs on his thigh.) Adam + Queen!

um, yes, I might be fangirling Adam Lambert a bit...

Happy things? I'm going out for a restaurant meal for the first time in ages, and I am so looking forward to being waited on! :-D
