For lunch today I made dairy-free calzones, two different kinds. And I took lots of pictures, because I was so pleased with having enough space to actually COOK. ( and here they are )

I was going to make something else nice for dinner, but I still have most of the peperoni calzone left, so I might have that with some carrots and humous. It will be good to see if these are good cold anyway, because if they are, I could make them as a thing to take for lunch once I start working. I don't like microwaved bread things, so heating such items up doesn't generally work unless there's a toaster oven.

I was going to do some more writing today. I am currently working on an MCR fic, a Teen Wolf fic, and a 1D fic. Like you do /o\ But instead I unpacked lots of boxes. Also went to the gym and cooked. I did not find my stamps though, so I really need to go find someplace to buy some so I can mail in my voter registration. Even in thirteen years of living in another country, I never missed an election. I am FOR. SURE. not missing this one just because of bad timing on my part.

I just did a quick little add up of the first 50 or so offerer-confirmed donations on help_haiti and it's over $2,300. And pinkfinity reported the first 35 or so mod-confirmed ones totaled $1500. I think this is going to be AMAZING way beyond the amazing I was imagining back on the 13th.

Also, I am SO EXCITED by the requests by both my winners. I was going to be happy to write whatever people wanted, even if it went out of my writer's glee-zone, but OMG they both want things that have me TWIRLING WITH HAPPY. win/win/win!!!!!!!! I am also super happy with the item I won. I am buzzing with excitement.

Sadly, I now need to drive 30 miles through the world-ending storms we are having, in order to be in my apartment when the woman buying my sofa turns up. But I can get some more packing (most of the rest of it?) done, and then there is just the cleaning and the moving of the rest of the boxes/furniture left to do. Nice men with physically active jobs and young, strong arms and backs are helping with that.

Why is it that as soon as I get a phone in my hand I turn into a complete idiot?

I finally got up the nerve to call Comcast this morning to find out about their service (NOT because I want Comcast, I don't, but because that is what my new apartment is already wired for, and I don't think I can have my dish because it would have to face the opposite direction to the satellite), and phrases like "dual-channel tuner" and "cable modem" completely fled my head and I ended up sounding like someone who has been living in a cave for the past 20 years. However, the guy was nice if a bit patronizing. I can't believe I have to pay extra for the DVR and modem though. Every month. *sulks*


and because I am a sheep, and I am in the middle of writing three stories (four if you count the fic tag I'm playing with dreamlittleyo and editing two more, and my brother is visiting and I'm moving soon...

I will post again when I'm actually kind of awake with the delightful airport adventures and the plane film reviews, but just to say that I am safely ensconced at my parent's house with all my luggage.

I've been awake for 20 hours.

they are cooking me supper.

Thank you so much to everyone who is being supportive and not running screaming from my constant carping on about the fact that I'm moving. I worry that I'm boring all of you to tears.

The movers arrive day after tomorrow. Everything not in boxes will have to fit into one of my two allowed suitcases or get left behind.

yes. I feel quite a lot like vomiting. Also, passing out until it's all over would be good.

On the up side, have plans to meet friends to go see Fantastic Four tonight. Bring on the Silver Surfer.

I really don't know if I can do this.
