Today I was just going to write the minimum 300 words to satisfy my mini-nano, and then do homework. Two hours later, there is this. At least I'm not out getting crushed in shopping crowds... *g*

Title: Black Friday
Words: ~1500
Rating: Adult
Genre: Sam/Dean
Enticements/Warnings: Crack. And sex. And knitting.
Summary: Dean could be forgiven for thinking he maybe indulged too much on Turkey day.
A/N: I do not even know. I probably never should have eaten apple pie for breakfast.

Dean and Sam aren't out shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. )

I was doing my homework last night when I came across the following paragraph:
It is years ago in Italy in the life of a boy not yet fourteen. This boy had a brother closer to him than air to skin, and this brother has just died. The two boys had spent hours alone together building electric motors, drawing designs for the engines of airplanes, the movements of their hands, their minds inseparable. The grief of the living boy is great. But now Enrico Fermi trains himself to walk past the hospital where his brother has died, without crying. To console himself he immerses his mind in the study of science. Susan Griffin in Chorus of Stones

And why wouldn't reading a book subtitled: The Private Life of War make you want to write wincest?

Title: Can't let it go and can't get through.
Words: ~700
Rating: G
Genre: SPN gen, Bobby, Sam, Dean
A/N: for [livejournal.com profile] fannishliss who said, maybe it's from Bobby's pov and he's turning over a table to tighten a leg and finds a whole string of DWs, in response to Like the Tides of My Life. This is a sequel to that fic (though it makes sense without it).

I had one of those freaky-ass dreams this morning just before waking and the image will not go away. my brain hates me ) That two-headed drag queen is the image I can't get out of my skull.

I've been having a really interesting time of writing lately. And by interesting I mostly mean difficult. It's made me examine my writing process more, and learn stuff about how I work though, which is probably good. In which I talk at length about how I write )

I just got a text from Scott. Apparently we're going to see Twilight tonight. I had no plans whatsoever to do that, but I like going to the movies with them, and at least it will let me in on the buzz *g*

On that note, I should probably shower and go find some food that isn't Nilla Cakesters, because the thought makes me want to vom.

today's nano writing, apparently wanted to be meta.

I sense that I am going to be changing my gmail theme about ten times a day. there are too many that I love. Right now I have tree, which is all lovely and cloudy at top with a really easy to read colour combo on the inbox.

*pets the pretty*

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] affectingly for telling [livejournal.com profile] keepaofthecheez me how to get to them! (make sure you're logged in to your account you want themeified)

eta Wanna know what's almost even better than pretty gmail? Getting to the till and discovering that the catfood bowl which says it's 50% off of $11.99, actually only costs one single dollar! Mysterious, but fabulous.

eta 2 also, my writing for today was gift exchange stuff. So nothing to post, I'm afraid.
