I know what I feel like I write over and over, but I'm curious if that's what others see. And so, a meme:

If I made Cinderella, the audience would immediately be looking for a body in the coach. — Alfred Hitchcock

When I write a story, what do you immediately look for?

First times, of course... Also the physical and emotional headspace of just before moments of revelation or physical intimacy, and you also write the fuck-off best teen/High School/first love fics that there are. And always happy endings, I don't expect angst. Some pining maybe, but not the darker or unresolved pining.

You get into the character's heads so well, and let us in there with you, and your characters are always well defined, you can know who is speaking from what is said without needing to read 'said X'. And, a very dificult feat, your sex is never clunky or awkwardly written, and it is awesomely hot.

The first ever fanfic I read was one of yours, thanks to Sasha (Girl on Girl). My favourites of your fics are the High School ones you did for 2011 MMOM with Adam and Tommy; the one about teen Sam getting stoned that I read fort he first time the other day (and re-read twice since); and of course Tommy Joe's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Fucking Awesome Flu (so, so good, possibly my favourite, although it is so hard to pick).

I expect about 50% of what I read of yours to involve some sort of kink, I don't know if that's an accurate assessment, just my impression. If I see you have posted I will always read it and know I will enjoy it, even things that are not my kinks (and there are only about 2 of them, and you've covered them both brilliantly).

:D :D

This is why I wanted to do this! Because I feel like I ALWAYS write established relationships, but clearly I do not. I do write more established relationship fic than a lot of people do, but there are lots of first-time fics in there too.

And, wow! I am still MORTIFIED that Sasha found/read/tweeted about my fan fiction (or any fan fiction at all) but I am so glad she brought you along for the ride, so there's that.

I do love writing kink, a) because I like reading it, and b) because it's so much fun to write all kinds of things in ways that pull in new people and make them enjoy things they didn't think they would. And I love taking things that people think are only dirty and making them sweet, or otherwise turning kink tropes on their heads.

And thank you so much for all your lovely compliments as well! <333

POssibly because I have not caught up with your back catalogue yet (a lot of Sam/Dean there :D :D), I have a skewed idea of the first times, but also I love first times, so they always stay with me longer and get re-read more often. And as for the kink thing, well! Ginger is all I shall say. That was a new one for me :D And all up in your shit was beautifully done. Scat is a kink I will never ever have, yet the intimacy aspect you brought to the whole tale was beautiful. I'm more of the Adam School of Toilet Etiquette (or lack of) than Tommy (in fic at least; IRL Tommy will obv piss anywhere), but I found the whole thing made me really think about intimacy and what it means. Also I laughed a lot. Perseveration..... I completely forgot to mention your sense of humour in my first reply. LOVE IT!

I think a lot more of my Sam/Dean underage stuff is established, but more of the 'canon' stuff is first time, but I could be wrong. I know in my first fandom I wrote pretty much only first times, but then started writing a lot of established stuff. Mostly because I was writing in another author's verse, and the pairing was already canon by the time I got to writing it :D I do have a fascination with what makes people stay together, and with trying to write established so the relationship seems fresh and dynamic.

speaking of first times, I so remember the first time I read figging. The fic itself didn't really work for me for various reasons, but I was fascinated that there was this kink I'd never even heard of, and I decided some day I had to write it. Wasn't til I read it in an amazing story that I got the right plot bunny though!

I was definitely raised in the (fic)Adam school. I remember reading in one of those 'trivia' books something about how everyone locks the bathroom door even when they are in the house alone. I was like... um. I don't even close it when I know there are other people in the house! (family types. I do close it when there are guests *g*)

Adorableness is the main thing. Your characters, whatever other personality traits they have, are always adorable to some degree. Also, you write really sexy sex scenes, especially blowjob ones.

I do love adorableness, it's so true! :D :D

and I am THRILLED that my blowjob scenes are sexy, as they are something that was really hard for me to get into writing.

Humor. I haven't read everything you've written, but there is almost always something in every piece I've read that makes me smile or try not to laugh out loud (at work).

Oooh! I never think of myself as being funny, but you're right that I do try to get smiles into everything I write. :D

aaah the perils of fanfic at work. Hard not to react! <3

I think of your fics as warm and relationshippy: Even if it's the characters' first time having sex, there's generally some kind of preexisting close relationship and a sense of trust.

I definitely am all about trust and close relationships, whether that is friendship or just established romance. <33
