I know. What do you even say about that? I was weeping and jaw-dropping.

Wow.

The imagination and talent of people will never cease to amaze me. This is got to be one of the unusual, yet beautiful things I've ever seen.

How ever did you find it?

I know! It is just incredible. I kept thinking, "how did she even imagine that she could do that?"

[livejournal.com profile] ignipes had posted it on her journal. I saw it on friend's friends.

That's absolutely stunning. The practice and thought that must have gone into that just astounds me.

Sort of similar is the technique used for the animated version of Shakespeare that the BBC and S4C did together a few years back. They did about twelve plays cut down to half an hour and animated in different styles. Some better than others, but the Hamlet one is just stunning. It's done with oil paint on glass and each frame is done by wiping away and repainting some of the oils so they couldn't ever go back and redo a frame if they made a mistake. It's all up on youtube, not great quality but enough to see quite how incredible the animation is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-S0M1PkNcQ

That is what I kept thinking. Like, how did she train herself to do that? It is nothing even remotely like picking up a pen or a paintbrush, I wouldn't think. Though I guess it's a little like standard fingerpainting as you're learning.

wow. that is incredible animation!

That's incredible, thanks for sharing!

It's amazing that you can tell a gripping story with sand and light and music, although Metallica did feel a little odd *g*

You're welcome! :D

It was an amazing story. It totally made me weep at some points.

I don't know Metallica well enough to have recognized it :)

Nothing Else Matters is a fantastic song, it's just that it makes me think more of highschool than of occupied Ukraine :)
