I never did figure out how to turn it off for Thursday nights. so I've been trying not to fret about that since then. Not that I'm not fretting about everything. Okay, show is actually giving me what I wanted out of the final episode. So far, anyway. Sam does still think Dean is pissed and thinks he's a monster. Ditto. And for basically the same reasons. Sam-n-Dean have a whole truckload of stuff to work out between them, but they're still working together, still nominally on the same side---oh, and still alive, since it's never a good idea to take THAT for granted around here. (And so is Bobby. That's been worrying me a whole lot more than any Apocalypse!)

i have never for a moment thought they would kill Bobby. But I see lots of fandom did think that. IDK. Part of it is me feeling like they have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too good a thing with Jim to let Bobby go. Never mind how Bobby is representative of too many things core to show (home, family, legacy, history, knowledge, hunters) to let him die.

Sam-n-Dean do have a lot to work out. But I think they will be able to do a lot of it in the Sam-n-Dean equivalent of "I love you, man" and have that mean everything. They both apologized first, after all (though Sam needs to actually HEAR Dean's apology, I think)

Which may be slow in coming, since Dean thinks he's already apologized. At first, I though Ruby might have been the one who reworded the voicemail, but now I think that was over her paygrade. I think Zach did it, and I've started to wonder if Sam was hallucinating at all during detox, or if he was being skullfucked by the angels, since we know they had access.

We were too busy bracing ourselves, honey, for ultimate heartbreak of doom to actually: (a) pay attention to details and (b) have faith in Kripke, who makes torturing fangirls second only to torturing our boys on his "Must Do" list.

I think at the heart of it, I have never forgiven him for what the season finale of S3 did to me. now I don't know if that's partly had such a huge effect because I was able to follow the S1 finale with S2 a week later and the s2 finale with S3 a week or two later, but I really have spent the whole of my SPN fandom life since the end of S3 crushed. I have not been able to write in-canon fic because it's too painful, I have hardly been able to read it. I have dreaded every week what fresh hell he was planning to visit upon us (while I have loved every episode. perverse, I know).

I really had no confidence at all that he planned to give me anything at all that I wanted.

Lilith isn't a fallen angel. In last week's episode (at least I think it was least week's) it's explained that Lilith is the one that has to break this seal because she was Lucifer's first 'child.' She was the first human soul Lucifer corrupted and became a demon. So she is the first demon in existence, which is probably why she had the white as as opposed to black eyes and the white explosion as opposed to black smoke.

Also, Sam and Dean clutching on to each other!!!! \o/

ah, yes. of course. I was just like, I know you have white eyes, but you look just like Anna here. and was confused. I had forgotten she was all white in the S3 finale too. all this color coding. it confuses me :)

When Sam killed Alistair I think the light inside with the bones showing was pretty much the same as with Lilith. And while she does have the white light power blast, we saw her black smoke at the end of S3.

The demon eyes seem to get lighter as they get more powerful. Black for normal, then red, then yellow and pale blue, and then white.

How fucking good was it? I was sooo worried and FOR NOTHING. I owe Kripke. I'd been cursing him for weeks leading up to this and he didn't deserve it. BLESS THE WEE EVIL MAN.

OMG I just watched the finale last night and Jesus Christ I almost had a heart attack. Boys are back together! But Sam's eyes went black, WTF? So much yummy fallout from this. I thought Castiel was going to make Dean drink his blood, too, and almost choked on my own tongue. Nnng. As for the knifing of Ruby, yeah, fandom had the boys doing that for years, just with a pork sword instead of a knife :D. Awesome finale. The only thing that spoiled it for me was my mum and dad's stupid high-def 70metre-wide (ish) tv that made it seems like someone has filmed it on a camcorder. I need to watch it again at home.

I saw someone else say about Sam's eyes going black, and I watched the end like five times but never could see it. Just watched it again now. I can specifically see them being green as the screen fades to white. where are the black eyes people talk of?

So sam hears dean at the door, turns and stops killing lillith, she laughs, he turns back and as he starts to really zap her his eyes turn demon black. It was freaky and i have no idea what it will mean for season 5.

Now i can read all the lovely 'I'm sorry, lets have lots of sex' fic :)
