I don't hate (for a given value of heartbroken) Erik Kripke as much as I thought I did.

Ditto. And for basically the same reasons. Sam-n-Dean have a whole truckload of stuff to work out between them, but they're still working together, still nominally on the same side---oh, and still alive, since it's never a good idea to take THAT for granted around here. (And so is Bobby. That's been worrying me a whole lot more than any Apocalypse!)

i have never for a moment thought they would kill Bobby. But I see lots of fandom did think that. IDK. Part of it is me feeling like they have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too good a thing with Jim to let Bobby go. Never mind how Bobby is representative of too many things core to show (home, family, legacy, history, knowledge, hunters) to let him die.

Sam-n-Dean do have a lot to work out. But I think they will be able to do a lot of it in the Sam-n-Dean equivalent of "I love you, man" and have that mean everything. They both apologized first, after all (though Sam needs to actually HEAR Dean's apology, I think)

Sam needs to actually HEAR Dean's apology

Which may be slow in coming, since Dean thinks he's already apologized. At first, I though Ruby might have been the one who reworded the voicemail, but now I think that was over her paygrade. I think Zach did it, and I've started to wonder if Sam was hallucinating at all during detox, or if he was being skullfucked by the angels, since we know they had access.
