First this video. Apparently it took six months to make. It is utterly enchanting.

Second, Wolverine. STAY TO THE VERY END of the credits if you go. And you should definitely go. Assuming you like that kind of thing. I'm not at all a comics nerd though. So my Loved it! review comes from that place.

I did my yoga and my boxing this morning and then an hour of studying for my grammar test which is tomorrow, and decided I deserved a treat. So I walked down to the cinema at the mall and got a cheap ticket and spent two hours gleeing over stunts and prettiness. Taylor Kitsch is really INSANELY good looking. Like it almost hurts to look at him. eeef. This is definitely a testosterone-fueled movie though. Not a lot going on in the women department.

When I got home, my contributor's copies of Oysters and Chocolate were here. I'd totally forgotten that they were coming, so it was a lovely surprise. I haven't dared yet to read any of the other stories, so I don't know what they're like. The categories are vanilla, dirty martini, black licorice, and oysters. Flipping through they are mostly het, though the oysters category is f/f.

Now it is time to put my nose back to the grindstone. :(

There shall be some more fic later; it's having a read-through first. Then there will be a break until later in the week, as school will have to take precedence over prompts.

and eta: lastly, this video:

Several months ago, the editors at Oysters and Chocolate published my story, Chopsticks, in their online magazine. They then wrote and asked if they could consider it for their print anthology, and accepted it for that as well. Said anthology goes on sale in May. They asked us to pimp it on our blogs when they sent us the announcement, so here I go.

You can see it here:

It was quite exciting to get into another anthology without having to actually sub the story anywhere new. Apparently erotica is the way forward if you want to see your name in print *g*

Mom just IMd me to say a packet had come from New York from Alyson and did I want her to open it? Mom cannot resist any sort of package. I replied that she could open it and I would phone her. 'Goodie!' she said. 'You know I can't resist an unopened package.'

It was my contracts for Hotel Suite.

I'm not sure if legal papers are supposed to be quite this exciting...

I still hadn't heard back from the editor at Bent so decided to email her yesterday, and she emailed back, saying oh, yeah, we did decide to accept your story, in fact it's in the issue of the magazine we published last Thursday. Maybe I forgot to email you. ooookay...

But YAY! I'm published! My name is right here(issue 3). I'm quite excited.
Mood:: 'yay!' yay!
