The ridiculous ruffled blouse framed by the lab coat reminded Shane painfully of Jennie for a moment. The girl was just as bony, but didn’t look quite as damaged. She looked just as straight, but if anyone knew that most girls weren’t as straight as they looked, it was Shane.
There was something about the clinic patient that made Cameron’s breathing speed up and a flush stain her skin. Maybe it was the frank appraisal, or the way she’d stroked her cheek against Cameron’s thumb as she’d checked the glands in her throat. The girl was flirting. Cameron liked it.

Lucky, lucky Cameron.
Thank you for commenting :)

Shane knowing that most girls aren't as straight as they look? Perfect - she would know! ;)
Go, Cameron!

Though I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how straight you are or aren't, Shane would be pretty hard to resist...
And yes. Shane would definately know :D

Shane's motto does seem to be, "I can get any girl any time any where"...

I'm pretty sure that Shane has never let being hypocritical stop her any. ;)

I remember when I had high hopes for the L Word...still a guilty pleasure very occasionally, though, and the idea of Shane and Cameron meeting is very cool.
The idea of Cameron and Jenny meeting, though, kind of terrifies me--can you imagine the massive amounts of angst and purple prose and bizarre outfits?
This comment is longer than the drabble now, I'm sure. Have to hand it to anyone who can pull off a good fic while also being concise. Good job!

I'd completely forgotten about this fic.
I love longer than the drabble comments! :D
Thank you

Only now I've got Cameron/Jenny scenarios bouncing around in my head. Maybe they run into each other while Jenny's in therapy or summat and swap tales of woe...
Jenny: I screwed a professor in college and cheated on my fiance with a woman.
Cameron: I blackmailed my boss into dating me and banged a coworker up against a wall.
Jenny: I was molested by carnies at a very early age and once had sex against a manatee tank.
Cameron: *inches away*

This was so brief, but very spot-on for the both of them. Shane could many ANY woman flush, and I could so visualize Shane getting the better of Cameron. And the Jenny/Cameron damaged description is so true. If House was on Showtime, it would be a very different show, to say the least, LOL!
Very well done! *memories*

And thank you for telling me where you found it, because I'm always desperately curious.
Wow, I'd not ever thought about what if House were on Showtime, but oh yes, it would certainly be a different show then.

No prob on letting you know! I always wondered how people found my fics, long after I'd posted them, so I figured I'd mention it, LOL. I think you're the only one who's ever written a House/L Word cross over, but it gave me an idea to do my own. I dunno if I ever will though. It could just end up a dusty plot-bunny in my brain.
