I have been watching and wholly enjoying this show since the premiere, but I will admit it's been more for the characters and the actors than for the crimes and storytelling. I felt like tonight they got the whole package going on. But I have to admit that I did, for a while there, think that they had cast Vinnie Jones as Moriarty, and I just couldn't. I could not. I am so glad that that was a particularly ridiculous red herring. And I think the only reason I believed it at all was because of the nature of the cases in the previous episodes. I actually doubt it was a long con, but if it was, kudos to the writers.
Also kudos, again again, to Lucy and Johnny, both of whom manage to play understated emotion BRILLIANTLY.
in conclusion, JOAN, WHAT ARE YOUR SWEATERS. JUST. WHAT.
