Season 5 finale

Tonight I had the pleasure of watching the episode with [livejournal.com profile] maichan808 so there is no commentary. Instead, my reaction in epistolary format.

I think it has to have been Sam at the end! Mostly because I really can't imagine that they want to deal with Lucifer all next season, too.

I'm gonna go with forever altered? Which is actually TOTALLY FINE BY ME.

GO GET YOUR DEAN. However they reunite it's gonna be EPIC. I have the sneaking suspicion we're gonna have a time jump for 6x01.

IMPALA AND WEECHESTERS! This episode keeps growing on me, even since I posted my reaction post.

I think it was pretty amazing, aside from the Lisa thing, which I'm dealing with by telling myself Dean only went there because it's what Sam said he wanted him to do.

I'm also telling myself that was Sam and not Lucifer. I hate that we'll have to wait so long to find out for sure.

My heart is still aching though, over Sam and Dean and especially Sam throwing himself into the hole.

I could buy that Sam is just forever altered by Lucifer's habitation of his body. The streetlight (or maybe he's just a wizard now and that's a wand in his pants) thing...

I'm pretty much totally stuck on the Impala. I'm having trouble processing anything else.

I didn't really consider the streetlight thing at all, I was too caught up in everything else I guess. But yeah I would believe he was altered by being Lucifer's vessel. Or idk I guess it could maybe just be the demon blood still, depending on when it was.

There is just so much I feel and want to say about this episode, but I am still not coherent enough at the moment after such a mind-blowing finale of 5 incredible seasons! I am completely in awe with it, it was everything I have hoped for and was afraid of wrapped up in one, a smile-inducing, nostalgic trip down memory lane mixed with moments when I bawling like a baby, my heart hitched up in my throat! Kripke is pure genius! Jared's performance as Lucifer was absolutely STELLAR, especially when playing against himself, much like Dean did in "The End"! He simple shined!!! And Jensen's way of expressing his desperation, faith, love - it just never ceases to amaze me and touch me to the very core!! And the end with Sammy watching Dean, I could not believe my eyes, but God, he's still there one way or the other and Dean looks just miserable no matter how much Sam insisted that he gets his apple-pie life and be happy after Sam is gone!!! I have no idea how I'll be able to wait so many months until next season will start, I'm just too curious!
There are million other things I wanted to say, but I just cannot find the right words to express to express how much I loved this episode and this show! <333

The episode broke my heart into tiny ittle pieces and then scattered them around...I'm still looking for them.

Do you think the episode would end the same way if it was the series finale?? I mean, yeah, I agree it's obvious that Kripke intended for this to be the *end*, but I really don't wanna believe that the episode would've gone the same way had it been the series finale.

Gods, THE IMPALA!! *is still flailing*

I'm also convinced that that was Sam and not Lucy at the end there. There will be fic from me on that theory, too. And he SOOO needs to go get his Dean! But probably won't, b/c he wants Dean to have happy and normal, and, and... GAH!
