ZOE SALDANA, TAKE ME; I'M YOURS.

The slightly longer review:

I LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING EXCEPT THAT ONE THING AND THAT OTHER THING and those are only cos I'm kinda squeamish.

HOLY COW THAT WAS AMAZING.

um. I hope that isn't spoilery. It's a comic book movie with guns and bombs and JDM and Zoe Saldana and Chris Evans looking like Jensen and being called Jensen. I was never not going to love it.

In related news, there needs to be some kind of rule about Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen being in movies together. ~~I cannot tell them apart. At all, apparently.~~ But Zoe in another action flick? HELL YES.

Now she just needs to be in a movie where she and Summer Glau are like rival (or partner) assassins. Dear Hollywood. Plz to be getting right on that.

How depressing is it that a character being called Jensen encourages me to see a movie? It's like, completely irrelevant to anything.

I was thinking of going to see this movie this weekend, this has pushed me further in the 'yes' direction.

I am, it has to be said, an action movie fan, and a comics movie fan, so it's not entirely an unbiased opinion. BUT OMG IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD. SO. GOOD. There are some absolutely tremendous shots, and it's HILARIOUS and the sexiest thing ever, and just so good. Unless you don't like action movies. :)

OMG, we saw it tonight! So goofy and fun!

Also, JDM and Zoe Saldana together -- so hot.

Chris Evans was also looking fine.

there was a whole lot of pretty going on there. Columbus Short was also making me happy :D

Zoe, though. Damn. Apparently I have a thing about women who can kick people in the head, even when that person is standing behind them.

The poor guys in front of me in the theater. I thought the movie was wicked funny, too, and kept laughing, as did the women sitting down the row from them a bit. i don't think they were impressed. But come ON. Jensen had some great lines.

HOW AMAZING WOULD THAT BE?

Oh, oh, or they could be Sidney Bristow (Alias)-esque spies, and someone sets Summer up, so she goes rogue to prove her innocence (clicheeeeeeeeee but I don't care) and Zoe is sent to bring her in, and then she gets caught up in helping her prove her innocence instead. After they fight ~~and have wild sex~~.

I did see that! HE MAKES MY HEART SING ABOUT AWESOMENESS!

My mom asked me to write a guest "president's letter" for her chapter's PFLAG newsletter this month about Adam and Johnny Weir and being out and uncompromising and what that means to someone queer who grew up without many media role models. He just... there really are no words.

I don't WANT a role model who is trying to show me "the way to be gay". I know how to do that. I want a role model who is showing me the way to be PROUD about being whoever I am. That's what Adam does. and he does it brilliantly. "Don't be like me, be like you." YES, YES, YES. A thousand times, YES.

I can't get to The Losers until next week, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I had to go find the trailer for Takers based on your note about Paul Walker and Hayden Christenson. It looks... interesting. Are we supposed to root for the good guys or the bad guys? And more importantly, who's going to bite it? My money's currently on Jay Hernandez as the red shirt, and you know someone from the robber crew will go down swinging. I'll have to get massive spoilers before I go see that one...

Here, have some Paul Walker hips -- *points to icon* -- I'd know them anywhere. ;)

Takers looks awesome. So so so so many hot people in it :D

I was totally LOLing at myself watching the trailer, though, because I never knew I would confuse Hayden and Paul--I was pretty sure my ~close viewing of the Fast and Furious movies would have cemented him in my brain, but Hayden looks toooooo much like him :D

Hayden 2010=Paul 2001

It's like Paul gave Hayden his mop of blond curls when he went high and tight for Fast & Furious. I approve of the shorter 'do on Paul Walker -- it brings out his eyes!

It is kinda funny that they got two dark-eyed, dark-haired dudes on the cop side, and the only two white guys among the bad guys are these two tough-to-tell-apart blue-eyed blonds. Although Jonathan Schaech is listed on IMDb as well, but I don't remember him in the trailer so I can't say where they decided to slot in the blue-eyed, dark-haired misfit.

I definitely like Paul better with short hair. (though I have to admit to liking it so Dom has something to grab on to *g*) I clearly need to watch Jumpers again and then Fast and Furious, so I can learn to tell them apart :D

I can NOT wait to see this movie!! I was going to see it last night but I was way too tired and the time my friends were seeing was way too late. But I will see it SOON! I'm glad you thought it was awesome and had fun!
