Do you have one of those fics that you read over and over and over again, and can never get enough of? The voices, the character dynamics, the language and rhythm, the way it blends humour and hotlikefire? The whatever your own personal thing is. Or maybe it just caught you in that one perfect moment, grabbed you by the heart or the panties and wouldn't let go. Whatever it is for you, I have There Ain't No Snappy Popcultural Reference For This One by drvsilla.

Some time ago, there was one of those tell-me-what-you'd-have-me-write memes, or Dru just did it, or whatever, and, of course, I asked for more of it. But, really, I wasn't sure how she would do it. I mean. It's Sam/Dean/cute!Dean Forrester. The Winchesters don't exactly live a life where re-visiting old flings works out particularly well, adding a third person to my OTP is a dodgy proposition at best, and how do you catch lightning twice?

BUT OMG, DRU IS CLEARLY SMARTER AND BETTER THAN ME.

Because just this morning, I woke up to There's The Rare Occasion I Would Do It All Over Again. WHICH IS EVEN THE PERFECT TITLE.

Season one Sam and Dean. Gorgeous, emo cute!Dean. Dean Winchester on that beautiful knife-edge between cocky and unsure that he does so well. Things that had me grinning so wide it hurt, and ZOMG sex like burning. *flails wildly*

Today is a good day. I'm telling you. Go. Read. Tell her how amazing she is, because I totally ran out of words before I could convey it all.

and then come back here and tell me what stories you go back to over and over.

I don't read Sam/Dean/Other. Ever. Okay, not true. I have once. But it's a HUGE squick for me however it's cut. The weird thing is I have a huge voyeur kink - but no touching.

I wouldn't say it's a squick for me, but it HURTS MY HEART IN BAD HORRIBLE WAYS. Except for this fic. (actually, this one and my sam/dean/jared/jensen one because it's really just J4. but that's not the point)

I can't say it won't squick you. But I can say that I LOVE IT LIKE AIR. And Dru makes it so that my heart totally lets it in because of the way that being with cute!dean is Dean's way of being more with Sam and Sam's way of being with the way Dean's always loved him so obsessively. OMG I AM FLAILING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.

I hope that it doesn't ping your squick, because it's so amazing.

I am gonna give it a try. I've read one other fic where it worked for me (and one other N3 fic where it worked for me - and audrarose wrote it which is why i am thinking if anyone can make it work for me, it's Dru). I also have her CT to read (I've been waiting for the right moment) so just -in case- I have a back up. =D

I'm definitely checking both fics out! I think you're a great writer and thus, your opinion does matter...I'm not a big fan of Sam/Dean/other but I don't particuarly mind so I'm gonna read them and hope for the best! In any case I'll certainly comment!

(...ten minutes later...) So, okay I read the first few paragraphs and I think I'm totally hooked up!

There is actually one fic that I can't stop re-reading and I cry every single time I read it, because, damn! that fic is the epitome of angst and it's so amazingly written...I just love it so much it's actually borderline obsessive (maybe not so borderline). I think it's the best piece of fanfiction I've ever read; it's from the Harry Potter fandom though and it's Sirius/Remus (from the SPN fandom I've read way more than just a couple of times a fic named 'verses like yours and mine'...it's really, really good...I wonder...do you happen to know it? o__o)

Oooh, Sirius/Remus is the only pairing in HP I actually like.

Sirius/Remus is probably my OTP and if you think you would ever be interested in maybe reading the fic I mentioned(it's just a one-shot) it's posted on fanfiction.net and the title's 'Fractured Souls and Broken Light'...Yeah I'm advertising it shamelessly and it's not even mine...If it were a person I'd cuddle every night with it!
