Friday Night Lights

I love this show RIDICULOUS amounts. And I am INSANELY in love with Coach and Tammi Taylor and their perfect because it isn't perfect but they work at it because they love each other so damn much marriage.

and why does my brain really want a J2 AU Future fic where Jensen is a brilliant Texas football coach and Jared is the high school principal and they're "living together for convenience" only totally not, because of how the fine people of Dillon Texas don't really want a sissy coach, and they're raising Jensen's daughter from his short-lived marriage to his high school sweetheart who got in a car accident not long after their daughter was born and decided life was too short to be married to a guy who loved football more than her and she went and joined the peace corps or something.

also, please to be pointing me to awesome FNL icons. I need moar. ♥

nooooooo! I have a whole sam/dean au thing going on already, which deserves at least another 20,000 words, and I'm not really an RPS writer *g* I want someone ELSE to write it for me *makes grabby hands*

gfdhjsk I LOVE THAT IDEA.

AND! I love when people love on FNL, vaguely or whatever. It took me ages to give into watching and GAH, it's most definetly my second favorite show in the whole wide world. I love every character SO MUCH it hurts at times.

I was so meh about the idea of FNL, because I am NOT enthused about HS sports, and about 5 minutes into the first episode I was HOOKED. I actually cried. like seriously, when I found out that I was having to give up my DirectTV when I moved at that S3 was DTV exclusive.

It is BRILLIANT.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO WRITE THIS FIC, ANG, WHO WILL WE TALK INTO IT?

I DO NOT KNOW!!! But we must - if, YOU KNOW, not YOOOOOOOOOOU. I have faith that you'd ROCK it.

It kinda cracks me up b/c I'll be watching college football on the weekends and 1) everything I know about the sport comes from the show and 2) It makes me crave new episodes SO BADLY.

I thought, at first, that it was gonna be too heavy handed religionwise and so I avoided it. BUT. I was at a place where I kind of needed that, I guess, and then. THEN I WAS HOOKED TOO.

You're welcome.

Me neither, but I think it's because they're so awesome together, it's the kind of relationship everyone wants, you know. Someone you can joke with and yell at and fight with and still it's all about the love you have for one another and it's going to be okay. And they have great chemistry. I've seen them together in interviews and they just joke and laugh and play off each other really well and I think that obviously translates to the camera and comes across well.

i definitely have to write the next book of "verses..." first. And I don't really write RPS, though maybe the secret is to write AU... It's the public posting I have issues with.

I too have unreasonable amounts of love for FNL. My friend BR & I spend too much lamenting that this isn't a huge hit with legions of fans. And this season has been gold. I am sad every time an episode draws to the end.

As to icons, I go to the comm [livejournal.com profile] fridaynight_tv.

it's SUCH an amazing show. And I really don't see why it's not a huge hit. It so should be. I'm only up to episode 3.05, but it's been amazing so far.

I had SOOOO many J2/SPN related plotbunnies for this show, but ADFGHJ THAT ONE IS THE BEST AND YOU MUST WRIIIIITE IIIIIT. Coach and Mrs Coach are actually the most amazing het couple OTP in the WOOOOORLD. They're just... GAH. And Jensen and Jared AS THEM IS GAAAAAH. GAAAAAAAAAH.

Coach and Mrs. Coach are AS OTP AS JARED/JENSEN. AND THAT IS SAYING A LOT. Even moreso really, BECAUSE THEY ARE REALLY REAL. (um, there is complicated reasoning for this seeming irony. do not question me. logical logic is logical *g*)

I WANT THIS FIC NOW. I need to finish the AU Sam/Dean I'm already writing though. And, um, do my degree and stuff.
