It's been a while since I watched SPN's pilot. And I'm trying to write, and I'm in St Louis, and my DVDs are in San Francisco, and I can't be bothered to pay $1.99 to get it off iTunes, and it's frustrating.

So here's the thing. What information do we have about Dean trying to get a hold of John after he disappeared? I can't remember anything he said to Sam. Had he called and left messages? Do we know what he said in those messages? Did he ever say anything to John that might indicate he was planning to/did go and get Sam?
