Dante's Cove

so, I have finally seen the first part of Dante's Cove. And... I don't even know. It's a mess. A huge mess. And yet... It's basically fanfic on my television. And how can I not love that? Plus it has the Scoggster (or Tracy Scoggins if you insist) and the guy who played Zach in Dark Angel, and there's a hell of a lot of naked hotness of the male and female variety. The nipples on some of these women... christ. *wants*

I'm hoping it gets to be a little less of a mess after the pilot, because having no idea what's going on because of amazingly clever storytelling (step up Damages, which I'm also watching) is one thing. But this just felt either badly written or badly edited.

However. I love it anyway. I would like more now please. *glares at holiday weekend which means no mail for days*

Damn, but sometimes a gal just need a hot mess to watch, right?

I've often picked this up at the DVD shop and wondered whether to get it or not! (To buy - I haven't seen it to rent anywhere yet.)

We bought the first two series on DVD when we were in Canada last year and have watched the whole of the first one. It is... erm... to put it midly, utter trash. Some awful acting, awful plotting, horrendous dialogue and generally car-crash TV, but it's also insanely enjoyable for all that. I think it probably works because at least some of the people involved know it's complete trash and are still just having a great time making it. It's not really any worse than a lot of US daytime soaps and better than some. Admittedly the funniest thing is the idea that Tracey Scoggins is meant to be in her twenties or something (they certainly make points about her being young enough to have a child back before she was magically imprisoned). Fabulous she may be, a young little thing she ain't, bless her.

Dante's Cove FTW! Fanfiction on tv is a great way if describing it. I got quite addicted to the stuff on YouTube with the blonde hot guy and the dark not-as-hot guy with longer hair having boy sex. Mmmmm.
