what the fuck drugs were they on in the writers room? FAT CHILDREN? with a little single tooth?

I cried from the second Rose turned around, cried harder still when she faded and was sobbing by the time the granddad was dancing.

I'm still not sure about la Tate, but we'll see.

ROSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

*weeps everywhere*

I don't like Tate at all. Totally had a spaz attack when Rose turned around. Those fat babies as so frickin' adorable I want 3. *smoosh*

Oh my goodness did I love the fat babies. I want them as pets! Their little wave! *wibbles*

I like Donna's not fancying doctor-ness. That was the one thing about Martha that annoyed me. Tate, not so sure.

When Rose turned round it felt like I was kicked in the chest and I welled up. When she flickered and faded? OMG DED.

Those fat babies freaked me the hell out.

EEE! *hehe* That episode was very disappointing... Episode two? Less so.

But Rose! EEE! I'd love to see a return of her... Or perhaps for the Doctor to have a picture of her hidden away somewhere... And for Donna to recognise her....

ep two was better, for sure.

I cried during this ep too - I cried when Rose turned around, and I cried during the grandfather moments as well. Embarrassing confession: in my teens, during Tom Baker era Who, I used to stand in my own backyard looking up at the stars and wishing like heck that there were such things as Tardises and intergalactic time travel, time lords and companions.and I still wish it were true

I'm indifferent about the fat children, but it seems like the majority of who fans are going happily ga-ga over them!

I really enjoy and love Donna cos I guess I can relate to her more than the other companions. *coughmiddleageddorkcough* But that said, of course ROSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

It's not Donna I have a problem with, I actually quite like her. But I have a distinct dislike for Katherine Tate, so she shall take some getting used to.

rose. I will never get over that.

Understood :-) That would indeed, make it hard-going!

I hate Tate, but she's actually turning out to be pretty good. She's got a few brilliant moments in the second episode, especially at teh end where she challenges the Doctor in a way that Rose and Martha never did. She's actually looking to be a better actress than a comedienne and Donna is shaping up to be a brilliant character.

The Rose appearance knocked me for six as well. Completely unexpected. She did look like she might be a little eeevil though.

Rose did look a bit eeeeeevil. I have to agree. still broke my heart though. Just before she turned round I thought, oh, god, it's not rose is it? and then it was.

I did like Donna much better in the second ep. she was a bit... wet in the first one.

I never even saw the Catherine Tate show, just the ads were enough to get my hackles up. Donna seems okay though.

I actually liked 4x01 better than the next episode, mostly because of the Rose appearance and the fact that the Adepose (sp?) babies were plainly adorable. I thought Donna was surprisingly ok-ish in "Partners in Crime", but she already started to annoy me again in the next one. *sighs*

I think i'm the only person in fandom who was scared of those fat babies. that tooth. It freaked me out.

I liked the general plot of the second episode better. I found the whole dilema of a fixed point versus fluid point in history interesting. And I am liking the Dr/Donna dynamic quite a lot.

the mimed convo was kick-ass. And then the blonde chick, "Are we interrupting you?" hehe!

Even I squeed at the Rose thing and I was never all that fond of her after Chris Eccleston left *ducks*

I did like the fat babies though. Oh, they were so cute :)

Jury's still out for me on Donna, but I don't mind her at the moment. I just want Martha back!

I miss Martha. But I'd rather she come back to TW, cos her sappy love for the doctor kind of grated. She was over all a great character, and I thought Freema did a FANTASTIC job with her, but that dynamic just never worked for me.

I was really, really worried about Tate, but was pleasantly surprised.

Like you, I find the whole lack of OST just perfect. It always seemed a bit blobbed on, particularly with Martha. She seemed too sensible and grown-up to be so carted away by her loins.

Though clearly I bow before all fandom when it comes to Rose. It helps that I find Billy P very likeable.

The Adipose were fun. It was nice not to have them turn into scary, slimy horror-thugs by the end!

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed.

they didn't have to turn into anything scary BECAUSE THEY ALREADY WERE! I know, I know, I'm the only person on earth who didn't think they were adorable. They had a fang. and were to all intents and purposes chest-busters. Scary.

i hated Billie when she was the not very talented pop-star married to the creepy ginger kiddie fiddler, but she's a great actress and wholly lovable now.
