I don't know why, but I'm very surprised by your taste in movies. Although Miss Congeniality is ten thousand kinds of awesome, it has to be said. *g*

I am a thousand kinds of sucker for a teen rom-com. I LOVE them. I also love lots of other kinds of movies, especially ones with guns and bombs and car chases. And psychological thrillers and that sort of things. but I usually only want to watch them one or three or four times. teen rom-coms though, endless love. :D

Now, of course, I'm desperately curious what sorts of films you thought I would watch...

Well, I don't know what I thought you would watch! I just know that I was surprised. *g*

I love that you put Google mail twice. That about sums it up for me, too! I get the shakes when I'm away from email for too long. ;D

Really the whole thing of 'visit' daily has an implication that I'm ever actually anywhere else. Which would be a lie. I mean, ok, I do go to class, but gmail is always open on my computer and I have pop-up alerts in case i'm doing something else and I get an email, and, just, yeah. 'visit' doesn't really cover it :D

imdb I visit. LJ I check obsessively. Gmail is just always with me :D

You know what drives me CRAZY?? Even though I have gmail minimized on my work computer all day (and am constantly glancing at the tab to see if any mail is there), I'm afraid to download the notifier. However, my cubicle is next door to the programming director's, and she has the notifier downloaded on her computer. Whenever she gets mail and I hear the little gmail chime I have that Pavlovian second of joy that I've got mail. :(

hee...

[identity profile] rivers-bend.livejournal.com 2007-10-08 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I have the chime turned off because I want to not feel my life is completely dictated by my email. so this way I have to glance at the screen and see if there's a (1) on my tab or an M in my bubble if my eyes aren't near the screen...

Why are you afraid to download the notifier? are there rules?

[identity profile] silsbee329.livejournal.com 2007-10-08 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG I love the chime! It's so cheery! (I'm so sad. *lol*)

Anyway, yes, there are rules. We're not supposed to download anything onto our computers (viruses, blah, blah). This woman has done it, and nobody seems to be jumping down her throat about it, but I'm too chicken to follow suit. I break some of the rules (like using the internet while I'm at the service desk - I'm sorry, but that's just the stupidest rule EVER), but some things I'm just too nerdy to do. ;p

[identity profile] rivers-bend.livejournal.com 2007-10-08 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I had those rules at work. though I also had the rule that I wasn't supposed to log on to the internet except on my lunch break except to do work related research. so the rules kinda got bent. I did try to be kinda good between 9 and 5 except around lunch time, but I wasnt' very successful.

I would totally be that same nerd as you :D

How do you like your steak?

(I'm always guilty of quoting William H Macy in Happy, Texas 'knock it's horns off, wipe it's ass and slam it on the plate.')

[identity profile] rivers-bend.livejournal.com 2007-10-09 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on the cut. But rare to medium rare suits me :) Not quite Happy Texas rare, but I can't stand it 'cooked' through.

Have a sheep!

When I was doing my honours degree (as a mature student) we used to say that revising/studying for an exam was an excellent way to get all those annoying jobs done - e.g. I'll revise in a minute, I just need to clean the entire house from top to bottom/ do the weeding/ do several loads of laundry/ go out and do the grocery shopping/ etc etc etc... :D

[identity profile] rivers-bend.livejournal.com 2007-10-09 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
*giggles at excellent sheep*

I totally had the same thing when I was doing my midwifery degree. the house was never cleaner then when I had essays due! Now I have more a tendency to watch tv/read fanfic/do memes than housework. Which is much less useful... :D
