because [livejournal.com profile] sylvanwitch did it and she got to be A Prayer for Owen Meany which is one of my favourite books, I had to do it too. Apparently:

You're The Mists of Avalon!

by Marion Zimmer Bradley

You're obsessed with Camelot in all its forms, from Arthurian legend
to the Kennedy administration. Your favorite movie from childhood was "The Sword in
the Stone". But more than tales of wizardry and Cuban missiles, you've focused on
women. You know that they truly hold all the power. You always wished you could meet
Jackie Kennedy.

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

Another favourite, though I was 15 when I read it and my tastes might have changed...

I've never seen Sword in the Stone, but I am for sure focused on women. If you don't count my obsession with boys doing each other...

In fact, I think that your obsession for boys doing each other is another sign that you're focused on women. *grins* My experience with the several fandoms in which I write/read/participate is that all kinds of women (and MOSTLY women) read and write slash and many, many of us are bi, not that that has anything to do with the price of tea in Singapore. Of course, we weren't talking about tea, we were talking about focus...which I clearly lack this morning. Back to the topic: when you say "focus," I assumed first that you meant sexually and then realized you might just mean in terms of being a feminist or woman-empowered or something. I also assumed that you are female, which is a dangerous assumption but at least partially validated by the fact that, as I mentioned above, most slash writers are women.

Okay, I am clearly rambling all over your innocent remark. ;-) What I meant to say is that it's perfectly in keeping for you to be both women-focused AND interested in boys doing each other.

*laughs* not at you but because you sound so much like me! :D

yeah, what I meant was that I'm a big ol' dyke. So pretty much, focus meant sexually. And, while we're at it, socially. What with most of my social life being LJ and, as you point out, most of us slashers being women... So I'm not sure how innocent my remark was ;)

Which makes me a female, feminist, dyke, who believes in empowered women and men who suck cock. Not because I think men are a lesser gender or anything, just cos it's pretty *g*

I am Watership Down! Which is uncannily one of my top ten favourite books ever, yay! When I first read it I loved all the male bonding but had not yet heard of slash, LOL. Not that I want to read rabbit!slash; WD is just perfect as is :D

I loved the slash in The Mists of Avalon. Sure, it's tame now, but it's cool that she wrote about it even back then.
