I've finally seen the end of Life on Mars. I loved it, though John Simm's head is shaped rather a lot like a turnip, which I never noticed until episode 8.

Ha! It totally is. Maybe that's why he made such a good Trumpton puppet. *g*

It was something about the 2006 suit that did it. And then I could only see turnip-head.

Was glad about the ending though. Except the test-card girl at the very end. She scares the shite out of me, and that look she did... *shudders*

I was scared that they were going to leave it with the blue sky/fade to black, but then I saw in the extras that they were hoping you'd think that. Manipulative bastards *g*

I did love their chemistry. Though I do think it's good that they didn't drag it out past its sell by date. Ending on a high was a good idea.

You've ruined John Simm's head for me forever! To think I used to fancy a turnip-head. *g*

The ending was good. Have you heard that they're making a follow-on to Life on Mars that will feature a female copper (who has had an acciednt and ended up in 1980-whatever) and Gene Hunt, to be set in London? Not sure how they will end that one and still maintain a sense of surprise.

Sorry, didn't know you fancied him *g* It's not my fault his head is turnip-shaped though...

I hadn't heard that. I did hear they were going to try to re-make it in america though. *shakes head*

I fancied him when he was in The Lakes, not so much now, so I'm not too distraught *g*. Oh god, I can't begin to imagine how crap an American version would be. Why can't they just leave well alone and just watch the original British version? Mind you, they'd have to provide a translator for all the Northern slang.

It's a dear little turnip though...

I have never noticed that, and am now going to have to spend a very long time now pretending that I haven't noticed it.

Thanks a lot ;)
