fallen_arazil to do the icon/interests meme and here's what she chose.
My Ginger Snaps Back icon I made because I wrote some Ginger Snaps slash and I wanted an appropriate icon to go with it. Back almost a year ago now, because I wrote it for last year's MMOM challenge. I like having fic appropriate icons, and I do have several that I made/commissioned just for a fic in a fandom I don't usually write, which is probably why I don't always have the 'right' icon for all occasions.
These are Angelina Jolie's legs. Her lips creep me out, but she has got a lovely body, and, hello, she's wearing leather trousers. She's hot. This is an icon I tend to use for perfectly delicious pron. When I remember.
My giraffe icon was made by lordessrenegade who was my yuletide recipient this year, so I spent quite a while stalking her journal. She writes cracking Due South slash, amongst other things (mostly for fandoms I know even less well than DS) and makes lovely icons. I love giraffes, and I'm not sure why, so I took this one.
The State Within: I missed it when it was on BBC here, but fell in love withtigertrapped's fic. She then loaned me the DVDs. Intrigue, death penalty issues, stunts, excitement, adventure, and poking the US government. What more could you want out of a miniseries? I'm also fond of the fic I wrote in the fandom, though (or possibly because) it's quite dark.
Cinematography: Is more an old interest than a current one, writing has kind of taken over. When I joined LJ I was doing (or just about to start) a film course. I am always interested in the actual making of a film as well, like the choice of lenses, camera angles, overs, two-shots, crane shots... I no longer think I'd like to be a film maker though. Hence the going to do a writing course rather than a film course.
Spooks: The Max/Julian fic I write is tangentially related to Spooks (MI5) in thattigertrapped put her OCs into the Spooks verse. I've only seen 1.5 seasons though, and tend not to write the Spooks characters, except for Adam Carter, who I've never seen at all.
