I'm not doing market research, I promise. I had a strange dream last night, and it has led to me being curious about what the people on my flist think of clothes. So, I made a poll.
It's longer than I thought, so it's under

Maybe if I invested more money in clothes rather than cds or the old unlimited pass?

Shiny film star wardrobe (with no social life or glam parties to go to)
VS
Unlimited Pass (seeing every single film at my local cineworld)
No contest really *picks dirt off week old jeans*

I know it doesn't help your poll, but I'm quite proud :D

I used to have between 20-30 pairs of shoes but I never wore them so I took them all to work and told people to take what they wanted. so they did. And now it's strange seeing people wearing my shoes with their clothes. But that's better than moving all those shoes to California!

That was awesomely selfless of you; I'm not sure that I could do that!

I don't "do" fashion, unless what I like happens to be in fashion, and I've learnt to buy at least two of something I like because it will probably be 20 years before it comes back in fashion again XD

I'm afraid I am probably the most casual person on there, although I did answer lingerie for one question.
I do have lots and lots of shoes but because I have funny shaped feet it's very difficult for me to find a pair that don't cripple me, so most of them are gathering dust, completely unworn. I can't stop buying them though....

My mom has the same problem, and she always complains that she was forty before she realised there was no point buying shoes that didn't feel like heaven in the shop cos they weren't ever going to be comfortable.

What a fun poll! *g*

You could always buy boxers and plain t-shirts. Or shop in America. they seem much more into pjs of the not flannel old man's kind there.
Definately less of the associating you with his niece! *g*

I always tend to go through phases, having one outfit that I feel extra good about, then either it will get stained or I'll go off it or I'll find something better...
I'm so glad you didn't just think me insane though!

There's a store in Melbourne called Anton's which has the most divine suits for women. It's all very Marlene Dietrich/Katherine Hepburn, I see things there I don't see anywhere else. Like their combo shirts/corsets, which make you feel like you are being hugged when you wear them.
I don't own a single Anton's item, because they are out of my league, price wise, but everytime I go in for a browse, the lovely sales assistant always insists I try things on! (And she never gets cross that I don't buy anything.)

It's the kind of place where if you suddenly wanted to buy a smoking jacket and fez, well, they'd have it in stock.
