The State Within

I know I'm like, months and months behind, but I'm finally getting to see The State Within, thanks to the never ending generosity of [livejournal.com profile] tigertrapped. I am completely and utterly gripped.

This is television as it should be, hard, uncompromising, and filled with characters that I either want to shoot or marry. The very best kind.

If you haven't seen it and you like political/spy/action/drama, rent it or buy it as soon as you can.

Admittedly, I never really got into TSW. Everyone else I knew who'd seen this was totally excited about it. The opening episode didn't work for me at all, and while I liked the rest of the show (the protagonist in particular), I just didn't feel The Squee. :(
