Kaylee had never seen Inara in that dress before. The green was the exact colour of the grass on Persephone. She tried to imagine that she might someday wear such a dress, but she knew it would never happen. Green was definitely Inara’s colour.

Inara loved Kaylee in her drab green coveralls. She especially liked it when the mechanic wore them low on her hips, the hem of her colourful shirts just brushing the folded-down top. When she reached up to flip a switch or fix something, an inch of soft, space-pale skin would show. Green was definitely Kaylee’s colour.

Aww, gorgeous. I love the parallel "green is her color" thoughts. I especially love Kaylee wishing she could wear a fancy dress - that's so Kaylee! Lovely work, as always, my dear.

Shindig is one of my favourite episodes because of Kaylee in that dress. She is a girl so very comfortable in her skin but she doesn't quite know it.

Thank you. Yes, sexy is definately all in the mind. I love how these women are both so sexy at such opposite ends of the ... grooming scale? ... well, in such different ways anyway. And that they can appreciate the other's charms.
