kohl_rimmed_eye asked for Wilson/Chase. I gave her some. So did karaokegal. Mine was a fluff fest and hers was dark. But tigertrapped pointed out that there was a road between the two. karaokegal and I decided to write the road.
1.
The first time Wilson drives past Chase’s apartment on the way home it’s three days after the breakfast sex. He’d only been trying to help, to be nice, but then Chase was naked and it turned into something else. Something so much better than he expected that now he can’t stop thinking about it.
4.
The fourth time he drives past, he stops. Through unspoken agreement he and Chase have ignored each other at work and no one is suspicious. Every time he sees Chase’s lips, he tastes maple syrup and strawberries and when Chase touches them with a pen or his fingers in that way he does, Wilson has to leave the room.
2.
The second time they have sex, Chase leans out his window, sees Wilson parked in his car outside and beckons him upstairs. Wilson isn’t sure what he expects, but there is nothing sweet about it. He has to borrow a sweater to wear home because there aren’t enough buttons left on his shirt, once Chase is done with it, to do it up.
5.
The fifth time they fuck in the hospital it’s three o’clock in the morning and Chase is face down on Wilson’s desk. He says, “harder, fuck me harder,” over and over, his voice breaking, as his hips bruise on the hard wooden edge.
3.
The third time Chase taunts him until he nearly loses control, Wilson notices the hunger in his eyes. “Push me one more time…” he says, thinking it’s a threat he’s leaving hanging in the air between them. Chase takes it as a promise. The sting of Chase’s cheek on his palm is shocking.
6.
There are six cubicles in the men’s room on the second floor. Chase has been on his knees in every one of them. Wilson can’t keep his fists from clenching in Chase’s hair; can’t keep from whispering, “you’re mine, you’re mine, you’re mine…” as his head drops back and Chase struggles to breathe.

I really like that there are only a very few, very specific details, bruised hips, stinging hand, struggling to breathe. The rest of the details don't need to be there.

I'm a House/Wilson girl myself but not only did I really like this -- you also get a million bazillion points for using a line from one of my favorite Talking Heads song of all time as the title!

Okay, I've been developing a taste for Chase/Wilson (so long as it's fucked up) for which I entirely blame
And boy, do I love watching some of the others not work. ^_^ I love the numerical theme, and I especially like the last one, for some reason, the violence of it ... yeah. Lovely. ^_^
