Geoff found it difficult to sleep these days. Sure, he had clothes, and shelter, and even food, but his head was full of words. And parchment, well parchment was in short supply.

Alone on the road he used to talk himself to sleep. Now Watt was prone to punching or giving a good fonging to anyone talking after he decided it was time to sleep.

Maybe, if he was quiet… Geoff angled himself a little further away from the range of Watt’s fists and reached into his trousers. Yes. This should do the trick.

As his fist moved faster the words stopped their plaguing. Only to be replaced with a picture of Watt, his fists raised, his ridiculous hair glinting orange in the sun.

Geoff found it difficult to sleep with Watt lying beside him. Oblivious.
