Not so much the pairing*, but Chekov being seventeen and McCoy so much older squicks me a bit (Dee writes an eighteen-year-old Wilson with a correspondingly-younger-than-now House, and that squicks me a lot - I can't even read it). I don't really know why since in both cases the younger party is totally legal (and anyway, it's fiction). Hmm.

*Original series McCoy with Chekov wouldn't make me react quite the same way, I think, because that Chekov is a little older.

I had SUCH an age-difference squick as recently as six or eight months ago. I still do for het couples, but not so much for m/m or f/f anymore. I still can't stand if the elder one is 'in charge' but i have acquired an embarrassingly persistent kink in fiction for younger men seducing older ones who feel guilty but cannot resist. Oh, fandom. the things you do to me!

that's why I asked, because I wondered if you had the same problem I did. :)

I definitely have that problem with House and Wilson, and I think the reason I didn't here is because I could think of Chekov as that bit older and still being Chekov. (Hmm, does that make sense? :D )
