Video rec

I would imagine most of us have music that we associate with high school, or whatever local adolescent schooling you had in your country. Mine is Pink Floyd. My first (and only of any import) boyfriend got me into them when I was fourteen, and I listened to very little else for the next four and a half years. I associate Floyd not only with nostalgia and comfort and happiness, but also with obsessive love that drove me to things I'm still a little ashamed of, and with heartbreaking betrayal. With angst beyond measure. With hours and hours and hours of first tapes and then CDs on repeat while I sobbed out my pain.

So I ask you now to imagine my joy that the amazing [livejournal.com profile] deirdre_c has done a vid of 4.21 to Pink Floyd's Hey You.

SO MUCH JOY. SO MANY TEARS.

DUDE.

'The Wall' on repeat, specifically 'Comfortably Numb' was is my go-to 'sob out the pain' music therapy.

The movie? Could barely speak for three days after seeing it.

I am now crazy-tempted to watch the vid! (But I am nowhere near up to 4.21 in my watching!!)

YAY! Thank you. I was so hoping you'd feel this way. Floyd! <3
