I have always been comfortable in my knowledge that Highway is the slashiest movie of this century. But then, last week, I watched The Fast and the Furious and I started to change my mind. Now that I have seen Fast and Furious too, I have to concede that Highway is no longer in the running. Pilot's talk of sexual confusion is matched by Dom's talk of fine bodies, and the eyesexing and looks of longing go both ways in F&F much more than they ever did in Highway. If you read the subtext that was practically text, every five lines would have been "I love you" "You're amazing" or "Don't leave me; I'd do anything for you." I need hot hot hot porn from this movie like air.

YAY a new convert to the slashy awesomeness of the FatF universe. I love how like all the mainstream reviewers, plus SNL, recognize that this movie works b/c of the epic homoerotic love between Dom and Brian. No one does longing looks like Paul Walker to Vin Diesel. And the chemistry, hot damn. I need new porn as well. I've read most of the lovely fic from the first couple of movies (yummy)...but where is the new porn from the new movie!?

Haha, the best declaration of Dom's bisexuality right there. Also, I love how Brian's fighting skills always consist of him wrapping his legs around musclely men. Yummy. Add the fact that Brian sacrifices everything for Dom (again) - the ending had me so giddy.

I started writing a little one-shot, but...LOL, I could NOT see them kissing. Fucking, yes. Some reluctant handjobs, sure. Brian going down on Dom? Absolutely. But everytime I got Dom anywhere NEAR soft or...not assholey, I stall. UGH. YOU WRITE.

Uh, wow. I tend to be of the "bring your own subtext" school (I've written Road Trip slash, for heaven's sake!), but this not only brings the subtext for me, but puts it on the table in a nice dish ~~with lots of tan muscly-ness~~.

I'd heard about the potential hoyay of the first movie and when I finally saw it...oh my god. I now own the VHS version, the dvd version and part two. I will get this one the first day it comes out.

The way they look at each other is so freaking 'i love you so muchineedyousomuch' it's unbelievable.

I haven't seen lots of fic for this one yet but give it time. It'll start showing up.

There were several moments in the new film where I was almost convinced they were ACTUALLY GOING TO LEAN IN AND KISS, and I wasn't even wearing my frickin' slash goggles. I love it that slash goggles weren't even necessary. That fight scene was a sex scene in disguise. Brian, seriously, wrapping your legs around Dom's head? Really? And then all the sacrificing himself for Dom, again, unquestioningly, just romping around practically screaming "OH I TOTES WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU, LET'S GO, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON BUT I WILL JUST FOLLOW YOU OK, THROW MY WHOLE LIFE AWAY, THE FBI WAS WAY TOO EASY TO GET INTO ANYWAY" And Dom is having maybe two facial expressions, tops, but both only occur when Brian is in the room, or while they're fondling an engine together or sucking things out of phallic shaped bottles while sharing long looks.

AND THEN THEY RIDE EACH OTHER INTO THE SUNSET Because everybody knows that Brian is Dom's ten second car. (Except maybe more like ten thousand seconds).

HAHAHAHA OMG. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. He was saying that the whole time.

Vin's expressions. I kept thinking "SRS MOVIE IZ SRS" every time he was on the screen. And then Brian would be there or he'd think about Brian and he would look serious and HUNGRY. OMG WHILE THEY WERE EATING CHINESE, THE LOOKS THEY EXCHANGED WHEN MIA SAID ABOUT SAYING GRACE. And then, the leg-wrapping fight and then BRIAN KICKING THINGS AND PRACTICALLY CRYING AND SAYING "I'M SORRY, DOM, I'M SORRY" and all devastated that Dom was pissed at him.

They are SO each other's 10 second car. I was DYING in the final scene. BRIAN THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT EXCEPT WORLD-ENDING LOVE.

I may be slightly over-excited about this film

I have been a Brian/Dom fan since the first movie and I don't think a slashier movie was ever made. I sort of missed the hero worship/first love vibe in the new movie, but I did love that when Dom described his perfect girl it sounded just like Brian.

I was kind of digging the god-it's-been-so-long-thought-I-was-over-it-clearly-not vibe in this new one, though. Brian was still ga-ga, and Dom still couldn't resist.
