We have a new president, today. A well-traveled and educated man, who can be both gracious and pointed, who preaches change, and hope, and new beginnings. I have not agreed with all of his decisions, and I do not expect to agree with all his future choices. But I am overwhelmed with joy and excitement and hope that this man will indeed be able to encourage all of us to act, and work, and be the change that we want to see in this world.

I feel like this day really means something big. Much bigger than just the turning over of the Oval Office to a new president. I think Obama himself will be an integral part of that, but I think the hope and anticipation so many of us are feeling is what is going to really have to come into play in bringing change and new beginnings.
