So I had to watch Phantom Traveler because I couldn't remember what sound the boys' EMF meter made, and now I'm watching the Pilot. The boys are so adorably tiny! I forgot how both awesome, and totally not caring if the details make sense the first several episodes are. I also forgot how TOTALLY FREAKING GORGEOUS Jensen is. Jesus. I can throw him over the hood of a squad car now?

I really really do love this show. I often forget between fic, fandom wank, hiatus, and Kripke's instance on causing excruciating pain to the boys, how very very much I love it.

What I do not love is people who come to the park and talk REALLY REALLY LOUDLY to each other. And if you do want to run down your brother/your friend's brother in loud voices, why go and sit right next to someone who is obviously reading or writing. Why not sit in the huge patch of grass where no one at all is?

These boys are too pretty. I am not getting much writing done. :/

Yes. Honestly, I am looking forward to some monster of the week eps, I can only take so much clinical depression and PTSD.... I left social work for a reason. But PRETTY. Oh, Jensen.

I love the MotW episodes. While I think they've done a good job bringing in new mytharc, I loves me some dracula shape-shifters, too :D

I usually forget too. I think I OD-ed on the show for a while, so for now I'm only watching new episodes. I hope it'll make all the non-season one episodes just as fresh and amazing once I start watching again. But season one? It'll always be my favorite. <3

I haven't watched them very often, I think twice for S1 and half of S2, and then only once for the rest, so i am always surprised again when I watch them.

There are such wonderful parallels too bw Lazarus rising and the Pilot. I've been rewatching s3 and S4. I was going to post about it but i fail at being able to reduce my squee to under 2,000 words per episode.

And as much as i adore and consume tons of fanfic - canon Sam and Dean are the be all and end all for me.

I loved them in fic before I ever saw the show, and there are ways in which I have to love the boys that whisper in my ears the best, but then I see S1 again, and I just realize how truly it is those boys who captured my heart for keeps and really got me writing and kept me here.

Definite awesome parallels. Kripke, for all I sometimes want to smother him with a pillow for the meathooks, is a genius.

I've seen Season One at least seven times, and I will watch it an eighth without hesitation. I adore the boys, the stories, the inconsistencies, the figuring-each-other-out-ness. I adore it all. It's SHOW, quintessential and beloved, and no matter what else happens to our favorite brothers, S1 will always, always draw me back. I'm so glad you got to rewatch some of these eps and remembered why you loved them. It makes me happy to know that other people find solace in S1, as well, especially as the wank out there gets more and more vicious, vitriolic, and vile.

It really does take me back to what I love so much about the show. watching Jensen talk to a kid who watched his father drown, or smile when he sees his brother just gets right into my heart. And tiny Jared who is filled with so much emo and so much glee at once.
