sometimes I'm like, yes! this is really good. and then a lot of times it feels like reading a big bang that got ~finished too close to the posting date. I keep going back for more, though, because I get so tired of SPAG nightmares, and I know that's not going to be a problem with JL. then I'll get one with too much casual misogyny, and stop for a while, and then go back. *sigh*

OMG, the casual misogyny! It made a lot more sense to me (though not excusing it) when I though Lanyon was a white, gay, man. Knowing she's she, it's a lot harder to...not justify, but contexualize. But yeah, I have the same thing; even if the story isn't great, I know with JL, it'll be well written, SPaG wise.

Here is me learning that she is not a white gay man, and yeah. Being more hopeful that maybe she can get beyond the casual misogyny stuff.

She unmasked herself around last September and some people were not happy. Frankly, the whole thing (namely her reaction and those who defended her) was enough to put me off reading her books forever.

This is the downside of getting the scoop on M/M authors. :-/
