Thanks for the Josh Lanyon recs! He's really hit-or-miss for me: someone recommended his work, and I got a bunch of his novels but ended up dropping them due to sexist and racist commentary in one, and a self-loathing gay protagonist in another (that's a really hard sell for me, and very few authors treat such a character with the care Roan Parrish put into her book, which I LOVED). But I do enjoy some of his writing, and I've been meaning to look for recs from people I trust. <3
