I am so so loving getting to see this back story. I'm also finding it extremely stressful. Messing with the future always creeps me out. I really want these stupid ads to end so that I can see how the episode is going to finish.

I do not know exactly what was going on with the time traveling, but I do feel like it was more visiony than actual time travel. But Dean's measure was being taken, what with the questions about whether he'd change history knowing all those people would die etc.

So, what I said then: I was pleasantly surprised with the casting for young!Mary - she had plenty of moments where she'd do a quiet smile, or a little quirky expression, and it just felt so much like Samantha, so much like Mary that I was positively giddy. Also? Mary kicking Dean's ass = win! Re: Dean's closing shot - the lighting verses shadow and the expression on his face just made my stomach bottom out. Totally beautiful and tragic.

I heard "wherever", but its possible that I was assuming he'd say that and wasn't paying enough attention.

Which? Is it safe to assume it has anything to do with Castiel? Maybe Castiel speaking? Because he gave me goosebumps every time he showed up. (Except for the moment in the car when he sort of quirked his head, obviously thinking "humans are so fucking weird" - that kinda made me giggle)

I had a sinking suspicion that's what would happen when YED left the house. Dean was just always one step behind him, I was starting to get the feeling that he couldn't actually change anything. (Which is one of my favorite ways to view time - everything happens the way it happened because it already happened that way. Dean was always the one that pointed John to the Impala, had always tried to warn Mary and she forgot...)
Which leads to an interesting issue. Castiel lied. Sort of...

I'm so glad they included that. I was getting really pissed around the time Mary made the deal, fearing Dean's going back in time had set into motion all these events (you know, like in REAL time-travel stories), and as far as I'm concerned, that much guilt would have finished Dean off.
BTW, was it you who once wrote in a disclaimer something along the lines of, "our porn makes people watch your show"? Because I used a variation of that here (http://antychan.livejournal.com/66650.html), but now I'm afraid I stole it. O_o

And I swear, if men could squee, then that is exactly what Mr Tweed did when Dean did the line about De Loreans. We desperately wanted Dean to say his name was Dean McFly (rather than Dean Van Halen).
I didn't twig that grandpa was Skinner until far too into the show!
