In response to heat they're getting from the American Family Association, P&G is conducting a phone poll to see if people are for or against the Luke/Noah storyline on As The World Turns. Even if you don't watch the show, please consider taking a quick moment to support boy kissing and thwart homophobic bigotry. The poll is completely automated. You don't have to talk to anyone. And it really does take all of a second to register your opinion.

Just call 1-800-331-3774 and press #2 to get to the ATWT poll, then press 1 to continue the storyline.

Please spread the word if you're so inclined.

I spread the word to my mother, and she dutifully is spreading it around PFLAG and the extended family. It's not just fangirls who want the gay on TV.

I've never seen the show. I have no idea who these boys are, but I am all for the gay on TV and fuck the bigots who don't want it.

I can't even remember the last soap I watched - it's been that long. I agree with you about gay on TV. IMHO, the people who are all freaking out about it are closed-minded idiots breeding more closed-minded idiots.

What's with the wording of that poll, dude? They ask if you want the storyline to continue and then they ask if you feel strongly that it should end? That just reads wrong to me, so to speak.

You bet your ass I'm for the Luke/Noah storyline and I took the "poll" to let them know!! My family has watched ATWT for over 35 years collectively and I've been watching since before the Lily/Holden storyline began! I'm going to make sure all 4 of my sisters vote. Luke/Noah is one of the only reasons I watch the show anymore. It's time for a little diversity on daytime television!!! Wake up people!
BTW, I also sent them an email expressing my enjoyment of the storyline & telling them that I'll support any company that is willing to take a stand on this issue.

rant away! We need more people who feel as strongly PRO as the people against feel that way. I've never actually seen the show, but I am all about gay storylines on tv wherever possible.
