My DVR DELETED TONIGHT'S SPN! fortunately after I'd watched it once, but I was rewinding it to re-watch and IT ATE IT RIGHT UP!

I'm devastated.

*holds you* I would be fucking devastated too. I save all my SPN's on mine. Sometimes technology can just be a piece of shit.

I am SO CONFUSED! It just suddenly stopped rewinding and was GONE AS THOUGH IT WAS NEVER THERE! and now I won't have the whole season and it was the best one and ... but i'm BTing it now. so it should at least be on my computer by morning.

*cries and holds back*

It does it to annoy us.

Mine tried to pull a stunt on me last Thursday night. I DVR all the eps too, so I can watch them again (and again, and again....ad infinitum) and at 9 pm it gave me a message that I had no room to record. And I did, my memory was only at 48%. In my panic to get the ep recorded, I had to jump in and delete a show I hadn't watched yet. Can't even remember waht that ended up being, so it appearently wasn't that important.

two weeks in a row it recorded House in such a way that I could only watch 15 seconds or so before it would ask if I wanted to delete the show. I could fast forward for a bit and then watch a bit more, but never more than a few seconds. It's frustrating.

I've not let memory get below 60% yet, and in a way it's kinda good to know I have good instincts with that. Though that sucks hard that it wouldn't let you tape with 48%. There's lots I love about directv with the setting to record and the fact that it records even if the time changes and stuff, but in some ways I miss my old HDD/DVR DVD recorder. I do think as well that it should have a feature to recover recently deleted shows. cos it's not like it isn't there somewhere waiting to be recorded over. *weeps*

Ohhhhhnoooooo! I depend on my DVR, even tho I'm sitting right there watching it. Gotta have it there, safe and sound and in high def. I'm spoiled, but this is the only show I care about, so....yeah. I'd be jumping around cursing a blue streak if I were you. So sorry!
Hugs tight,
Lyns

I have always watched at 9 until last night when I had a friend over. I started getting so antsy at 9pm and she didn't end up leaving til nearly 11 (she's a friend from school and I don't know her very well so couldn't say that I wanted to watch tv). And fortunately I then got to watch it. And I was on IM with someone who wanted to squee over it with me and kindly stayed while I watched it. I think if it hadn't been for her telling me to breathe I might have cried. But I have it now (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mickeym and though I am still crazy-sad that it's not on my dvr, at least it's on my computer.

It's healthier than heroin. *nods*

*hugs*
