It's really hard to not get spoiled for Smallville when it's there at the beginning of my SPN. Stupid falling behind… (I still haven't seen S6 of Smallville.)

Sam is so worried about his Dean, but also a little pissed, cos WHERE IS HE? The prozzie makes Sam nervous. He doesn't want Dean to be a hero. He's jealous. And the bear bartender wants to do him. Jensen is still the MASTER of facial expressions. He goes through such a gamut of emotions when he's asking her about hell. *loves him*

Is it me or does Sam look really young in this episode? And also? I think it's kind of lame for them to black-eye the demons just for us. I'm ok with them revealing that for context in the show, but just to let us in on the secret? They need to think of something different.

I'm totally not making any opinion on the whole who's who of the demon world yet. Sam was to be the grand high poobah, and he didn't step up. Got it. The rest? I'm just waiting and seeing.

I love that Sam just trusts Dean right away with the be careful. Poor Bobby. I almost expected him to be all, "I'm too old for this shit," a la lethal Weapon.

I love that bonded demon and dean try to save each other. And YAY THE COLT WORKS. Cos Dean makes kick-ass bullets. And Sam, did not hesitate. He just saw Dean in danger and killed. No black-eyes or anything. Just protecting his lover brother.

Dean turning to Bobby. Who needs to tell him that Humans aren't their job. Thinky!Dean turns me on. Could Bobby be any less convincing with the "I'm sure Sam's ok?"

Sam/Ruby as a concept does less than nothing for me. Jared actually did a brilliant little look when she says "You wouldn't be Sam if you did." He'd just said he didn't have to like the collateral damage. And he looked scared. Like maybe he did like it. Just a little. And now she's telling him he's not Sam… Interesting.
