A hummingbird came to one of my feeders! I am so excited. I love hummingbirds so much. I really missed them when I lived in England.

I love hummingbirds too! Odd, I always thought of England as having a lot of hummingbirds, but I guess not.

I wont put out a feeder. I have outdoor cats, and it seems sort of cruel to lure the birds to my yard.

I think England is too cold for hummers. Which is strange, because they have them on their money. But I never saw one the whole time I was there.

There are no cats allowed here, and I'm three floors up anyway, so the chances of cat attacks on my new friends are slim. I've been having so much fun watching him today!

They are just so awesome. On the whole, I'm kind of afraid of birds, but I love hummingbirds.

I blame the 102 degree fever I had when I saw Hitchcock's The Birds for the first time. I'm convinced that all raven/crow type birds want to peck my eyes out.

And laugh away. It is kind of crazy :D

i'm afraid of those things at the chocolate factory.

you know.

the singing green and orange midgets. i can't even write or think their name, cuz it freaks me out to the Nth degree. and i'm afraid you'll write it, so i won't check my mail.

lol. so you're normal. birds vs. evil singing dancing midgets rolling blueberry shaped girls to their doom. *shudders*

fucking roald dahl was a sick motherfucker.

did you ever read My Uncle Oswald? About a couple who goes around stealing spunk from famous men. Not for the kiddies. But woah, RD is a sick dude.

I never saw either of the chocolate factory films. and I blocked the short dudes out of my mind from reading the book.

I'm also terrified of dragon flies. That is totally inexplicable. I'm even freaked by like stained glass ones or dragonfly jewelry.

They did! I was thinking it might take a week or two, but this one, at least, seemed to find it right away! I do hope more come :D

Ah, yes.. I'm sure that when you DON'T go chasing them with a broom, they shall realise it is safe to come and EAT at your place! *nods*

How cute!! I've only ever seen one hummingbird and that was in Canada. It was the tiniest litle thing, so twitchy and delicate. Never seen one in UK. But I did see a woodpecker and that was very exciting.

They are so tiny and twitchy and delicate. And so beautiful if the sun is shining on them right. It was foggy yesterday so I had to settle for twitchy and delicate.

Mom told a story on Saturday about the woodpeckers at the school she used to work at. They pecked holes in the eaves of the Library and the roof filled with bees. They pulled out over a hundred pounds of honey at the end of the year when the buzzing noise got too loud.

*squee* How absolutely exciting! I hope you can treat us to some photos?

Wish we had hummingbirds here!

I will try to get some photos. They are hard to catch. Hummingbirds should be everywhere. They rock.

Slugs are just not the same, somehow.

Though you got way better pictures of your slugs than I imagine I will get of my hummers!
