I'm going a little insane (and who knew, I'm the master of understatement) here and because I have so much to do I thought I ought to do the movie meme I saw on
vanillafluffy's journal.
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times: Heathers, Ocean’s 11, 10 things I hate about you. There’s more, but those spring immediately to mind.
2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theater: Top Gun, Brokeback Mountain, Serenity. Again, there's more, but those spring to mind.
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to see a movie: George Clooney, Maggie Gyllenhaal. I’ll watch anything at all with either of them in.
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to see a movie: Adam Sandler. I liked Wedding Singer. But my god, he’s annoying otherwise.
5. Name a movie that you can quote from: Heathers, Ocean’s 11, 10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback Mountain, Serenity… are you sensing a theme?
6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs: Maybe Sound of Music, but I’m really not sure.
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with: Rocky Horror Picture Show
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see: An Inconvenient Truth
9. Name a movie that you own: Thelma and Louise
10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops: Queen Latifah. She is amazing.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? Many.
12. Ever made out in a movie? Too long ago
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it: To Kill a Mockingbird.
14. Ever walked out of a movie? Watership Down and something that was possibly a Cannon Ball Run movie. It was the second in a double feature and it was too violent for my friend and me. We were probably 11 at the time.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater: I cry all the time in theatres. Probably the time I cried the most was in Fried Green Tomatoes though.
16. Popcorn? Occasionally if I’m feeling wealthy
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)? I used to go once or twice a week, now it’s more like 6 or 7 times a year.
18. What's the last movie you saw in the theater? Ocean’s 13
19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie? That’s like asking me to choose between children. I love movies about relationships, movies with tons of stunts and explosions, superhero films, thrillers, teen films…
20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater? I know it’s not the first film I saw in a theatre, but the first film I remember going to see was Song of the South. I was five and went with my cousins who were a few years older. Our parents walked us to the theatre and then didn’t come and pick us up as they said they would. They got talking and sort of forgot and sort of figured we could make it home ourselves. I phoned them sobbing and they came.
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen? Last House on the Left. Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Wild at Heart.
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed? I can’t really think of a movie I’d classify as ‘weird’. Maybe Tank Girl?
23. What is the scariest movie you've seen? Last House on the Left. Though that made me sick more than scared me.
24. What is the funniest movie you've seen? That totally depends on my mood.
25. Movie you'd most like to acquire on DVD: I’m looking forward to Ocean’s 13 coming out.
