Because I'm like that today, I also asked bethctg to do the icons/interest meme.

This icon I made just after I got photoshop and I was playing around with hue and saturation. It's a picture of Drew Barrymore whom I just adore, and I loved how it looked with the blue and orange. Though I am fond of the picture in its original flesh tones as well. I tend to use it when I'm feeling fond of something, or when flowers seem appropriate, or when I feel like being cheery.

The penguin is from a photograph that my mother took in South Africa last year. We agreed that the penguin looks ready to go to the prom, with a feather boa on. I often forget about it, though I mean to use it when talking about dresses, or proms, or penguins or other cute things. Because I also think it's adorable.

Come Closer is Cate Blanchette in a gorgeous dress, with her lovely hands on display. It was during one of my experimenting with textures phases on photoshop. I carefully outlined her hand and then did the sketch texture on the wall and the dress. I like how this one turned out, probably best of all my early efforts. I often use it for personal question memes and the like, or just when I feel like seeing that hand and that dress.

Film star photographsOn my broken computer I have hundreds of pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cate Blanchette, and many other film stars. I like to use them for icons and I like them as the screensaver on my computer. Ironically, I am not a fan of the paparazzi, and I wish that stars wouldn't get followed around, that they would be allowed some privacy. For this reason, I mostly have photo shoot pics on my computer, with the exception of Jake, who has so many candids out there, that I just can't help myself.

I was a HUGE Roswell fan when it was on the air, and then I bought all the seasons on DVD. I am a sucker for that sort of inevitable love, meant to be across galaxies. Plus, Izzie... Now I get to see her on Grey's Anatomy, and so am less likely to rewatch Roswell. For ages afterwards, if I had to pick a name for a computer game (like Zelda), I chose Majandra, after the girl who played Maria on Roswell.

Deadwood is yet another HBO show that I just love. More swearing than you can shake a stick at, and I always end up swearing lots more after I've been watching it, but I adore it. The old west, hookers, gun slingers and mud. What's not to love?
