I finally set up my Wii in my new apartment, and now I can watch netflix streaming on my TV. What I should do is get out the Wii-fit disc, but instead I added some of the new-release LGBT movies to my instant queue and watched Shank.

It would send all the people who complained about Adam's AMA performance into an early grave, but I mostly really liked it. The violence was just as graphic as the sex, and I've seen less graphic porn movies, so there's that, but none of the sex or violence was gratuitous, so it was worth sitting through. It definitely had that rough, low-budget, indie movie feel, which threw me for a moment, as I've been watching Burn Notice, which is all slick and pretty and expensive stunts, but I got into it very quickly. It was an interesting story, and the actors did a good job with it on the whole. I am definitely glad I watched it.

On the warnings side:

The accents are probably quite strong if you're not used to them; I imagine mom and dad would have to watch with the subtitles on. I'm not sure that's an option with streaming.

There are a few scenes which could definitely be triggery, and I honestly wouldn't watch this if you're feeling vulnerable.

In TOTALLY other news, I've just realized that I DIDN'T yet miss the deadline for schmoop bingo, so I need to look at that, because I think I only have one more fic to write. hmmm.
