I definitely agree that objectively speaking Out of Nowhere is better than middle of somewhere. It wasn't as comforting, I didn't want to curl up and spend more time with the characters immediately as I did with MoS, but it is a more accomplished book in several ways.
I picked it up after loving Strong Signal so much, which I picked up because yeah, Santino. I struggled some with Sutphin Boulevard, because i have some triggery issues with alcohol use and they got hit pretty hard, but I absolutely loved Sunset Park, and I think he's an amazing author.
omg I cannot imagine not reading enlightenment right after the first two. I am absolutely terrible at waiting when it comes to books though. what is this challenge? you have to read books in a certain order?
JCP's summaries have never really called to me, and I forget what made me pick up the mnevermind series. I didn't rush out to try a bunch of the other stuff, after, though :)
